I booked this on Priceline and got it for about $80-90 per night for three nights at the beginning of May.
I really like the location, it is right next to a major hospital and right next to a T-stop (metro stop.) But we could walk all the way to the freedom trail and beacon hill district, although it is in the theater district it was not veyr far. I enjoyed the location although some people said in previous reviews it is a little "shady" we did not think so at all.
The hotel definitely met and exceeded expectations for a priceline booking. The receptionist was friendly and at first said we have a smoking room and I asked if it is possible to change, she left and in about 10 minutes came back and said we can change to non-smoking, which was really great.
We got a free cookie on check-in which is usual with Doubletrees. They also gave us an extremely useful map and magazine with info that we used extensively during our stay for finding attractions.
They made some mistake in charging a minibar item which we didnt' use but they corrected it immediately. This happens at a lot of hotels though so it must be watched out for.
We didn't have a car but parking was around 20-30 dollars if I remember right.
Also, it was about $30 for a taxi from the airport, but one could have also taken the T as it goes directly from the aiport and only one transfer is required. This is only $2/person. (We opted for the taxi because of our suitcase)
We didn't try the breakfast becuase it was around $10-15 a person and this is expensive for a continental breakfast. Instead I got a delicious whole-wheat poppy seed bagel with lox and a coffee for about $5 at a nearby Finangle-a-Bagel (nearby as in, by the freedom trail where we walked to). There are also a lot of Dunkin Donuts around where my husband ate at for breakfast since he doesn't like bagels
No complaints! (although, I would only get it thru priceline, it seems a little pricey otherwise)
