The Langham, Boston

Darned near perfect! I loved the Langham and only wish I could have stayed longer. Location is very convenient and central. The staff was absolutely efficient and capable. I loved how the mirror in the bathroom featured a square in the middle that didn’t fog up after a shower.

After a long trip it was wonderful to enter the plush room, beautifully furnished, soft music on the iPod clock, fresh bathrobe, slippers and turn-down chocolates at hand. They were good about keeping my late check-in (nearly midnight) and I appreciated that check-out was a leisurely 1:00 pm.

My only teensy-tiny complaint was that I never did figure out how to open my room’s angled window curtains.

“Great location”

The Langham, Boston

An exceptionally comfortable bed with perfect down pillows and crisp, ironed sheets. The rooms are not particularly spacious but adequate. Excellent room service -- expensive but very good food and a wonderful waiter. The cooling system was awful -- the temperature is preset to 78 degrees and you have to have building engineering come around to rout around in the ceiling before you can use the in-room thermostat. The temp did cool down after several hours, but it was nonetheless annoying since the outside temp was a comfortable 68 degrees but the windows don't open. Construction across the street featured an outdoor generator that roared until 11 p.m. each night, making sleep impossible, but that was beyond the hotel's control. Ask for a room away from construction, though. Concierge service was good, but the morning fellow needs a reality check about who's wearing the borrowed blazer.

“Beautiful and convenient hotel”

I stayed three nights in a standard room and had a very nice experience. The hotel is smaller than most and is nicely decorated, and the rooms are beautiful and cozy. I thought the bed was the most comfortable I've slept in in ages, and the robes and slippers are a nice touch. The Sunday brunch/chocolate bar is absolutely amazing - there are entire tables full of different chocolate dishes. Faneuil Hall is within easy walking distance so you can go shopping and site seeing anytime. The only downside about all of this is the price!

“Nice hotel in a good location”

The Langham, Boston

May 12, 2008

The Langham was a nice hotel. It's really close to the airport (expected a pricey cab ride) but its in a good location too. I was there for business so didn't get to see the neighbourhood much but things seemed within walking distance (with respect to the business district, at least).

The room was a good size. The decor and furnishings seemed good too. I ordered room service (pizza) and I thought it was good (albeit a bit soggy). The clam chowder in the hotel bar was good as was lunch in the hotel restaurant.

The staff was very helpful with packages we had delivered to the hotel as well as suggesting dining suggestions to grab a bite and watch the hockey game. There's a few pubs within a few blocks of the hotel to relax and those wishing to eat a casual meal outside of the hotel.

Overall, a very nice hotel with courteous staff. I would recommend it.

The perfect hotell for anyone who wants quality. Me and my grilfriend stayed there for one night and it was perfect. We payed 250$ and it was priceless.

The room was najs and in every detail perfect. From the hair saloon hairdryer to the coffee machine.

A tip is that the hotell has complimentary shoeshining. Just put your shoes in a shoe bag on your door and they will be deliverd before 6 AM on your door!!
The pool area was closed but from the photos you could learn that it would definatley be worth a visit just for the new area.

So go there while if you can find a good price!!
