“Musty, gloomy dowager”

At $345/night I was hoping for something a little classier. I don't think my room had been properly aired in years. The paint is chipping; the decor is tired and the lighting is terrible. The tiny room was dominated by a giant flat screen tv but there was no comfortable place to sit. Excuse me, the bed does not count as a chair, thank you very much. And what is it with the loose headboards that crash into the wall every time someone in the neighboring room rolls over?

“Totally surprised”

I was AMAZINGLY surprised by this hotel. My stay was half business half pleasure. I was originally booked at the Westin however when my colleague booked here, I switched because it would have made work easier. I was a bit leary because it is a boutique hotel and I was going to stay one week. I was a little worried about the hotel staff and standards of the room. From the very start - i.e. exiting the taxi! - I had wonderful customer service. It's the level of service I expect at a Fairmont or Ritz-Carlton. A great perk is that the hotel has free wireless internet throughout the hotel. The hotel does a lot of things to be more energy pollution conscious. The toilet is one of those 1.6 gallon super flusher. Sounded really cool at first however it's loud and may require more than one flush to do the job. The room service menu is limited. The only real downside is that the room didn't have a coffee machine. I would definitely stay here if I ever need to travel to Boston again.

“Superb Staff”

The first thing you notice on entering the hotel is the ambience and plushness.
Our room was oppulent, not one of the large rooms there, but grand all the same....with a lovely comfy bed and widescreen LCD TV...just the tonic after a day walking the city.......
The maid came every night to do the turn down...what a sweet gesture.......and with a sweet dreams pilllow put on top of the bed along with confectionery to nibble..........
The staff were all lovely and nothing was any trouble to them........
One particularly special touch happened just about half an hour after we arrived......Our bags took a while to get to us and a waiter suddenly appeared at the door with a trolley tray complete with champagne, glasses and a letter of apology because we didn,t recieve our bags to the room in their alloted time scale.......
Wow.!!!!
What service...........
Would I recommend this hotel..........
YES..........you bet i would.........
And if you are going i can assure you that your every need will be taken care of by their fabulous staff..........ENJOY........
Thankyou Lenox for lovely memories..........

“An Exceptional Hotel - We Will Definitely Be Back”

The Lenox Hotel

My mom and I stayed at the Lenox for a long weekend. We were amazed by this place. We used to travel all over with my dad's company, staying in some very high-end hotels. The Lenox, with its incredibly personalized and attentive service, stands out as one of the most memorable hotels we have ever experienced.

The staff went above and beyond to make sure my mom and I had a wonderful stay. Everyone was exceedingly professional and friendly. My mom and I love to try non-touristy local restaurants. We called the concierge a few weeks before our trip and she made excellent recommendations for all of our meals. She even made all of the reservations and we found ourselves at the best tables.

The hotel itself is a historic property that has been impressively updated. It feels both classic and sleek. Our room, with two comfortable queen beds, was spacious and very clean. The bathroom contained products by Aveda. The hotel is quiet. We never heard any noise from neighboring rooms, the hallway or from the street.

The hotel's location is perfect, with easy access to the Copley Square train station. If you like to shop, Newbury Street is just a block away. It is also very close to the Convention Center and the Prudential building. Boston is really not that big; we walked from the Italian North End through Boston Common to the hotel in just about a half an hour.

We highly recommed this hotel and definitely plan to go back.

“Bad experience”

The Lenox Hotel

I stayed at the Lenox with a friend. We had booked twin beds, we were give one queen size for two not small people. When shown the room we immediately asked to be changed and were told that this was not possible. This continued to be not possible for the whole 6 nights so I spent 4 of them sleeping on the floor. Our requests were met by blank smiling faces that refused to recognise a problem or do anything about it.
