I got this hotel through priceline.com and paid $70 a night.
This was a great deal because it was priced at $199 - $299 on the website. Hotel was clean and modern enough. Located in the heart of downtown Boston and sandwiched between Chinatown and the Theatre district, the Hyatt provides easy access point to these two locations as well as to the 'T'.
The hotel room was smaller than the Hyatt's I have lived in but the room was nice.
The bathroom was smaller than I was used to as well. So, with two people wanting to use the bathroom at once could be quite cramped.
However, room was clean, had a coffee making machine, a TV with all channels working (not a flat screen) and equipped with Nintendo 64 gaming (at $7.00 an hour!). Also had a bar, iron and board and a robe to use (if going to use the swimming pool).
Decor was slightly 80's style mixed in with the new furniture.
One thing to be aware of is the LOUD banging of the doors!
Around 9-11pm, 7-9am, you will be woken up for sure by other people so bring some ear-plugs if you are a light sleeper!
I got a room on the 16th floor and got nice views around the city.
Staff were super friendly at the check-in desk. Couldn't say the same for some of the concierge/bell boys.
Other slight criticism is the funny layout of the hotel. You enter the side of the hotel and go down a few steps to the Lower Lobby only to have to go up 3 floors to get to reception and to get to your room.
Overall, a nice hotel although slightly weird in design and layout. Great value for money (for what I paid) and location for a great night out in the town. Recommended!
