My review will be short compared to previous hotel reviews. I would say that it's mainly because I don't have much more to say beyond what others have already said.
Five of us shared a room on the 24th floor, facing the river, and really enjoyed the hotel.
I do agree that the lobby was a bit chaotic. My other gripe would be that the elevator situation just was not great. There was an AAS (I believe) conference at the hotel the same weekend we were there and at one point we had to wait about 20mins for an elevator. It seemed like only 4 of the 6 elevators to the 1st 26 floors were working and it was really a pain to get up to our room. Also with 5 people in the room we showed up in our room that had 2 double beds to find 2 towels. That's just a silly number of towels for a room with 2 beds.
My other complaint would be the collection of beer caps under the beds and the two 40oz Corona bottles behind the curtains. That to me either says they didn't clean very well, or the maids were getting drunk in our room?? (2nd part is more of a *wink**wink*).
Other than those issues, the hotel was really nice. The ability to walk via Skywalks to places in the area was really convenient since we were there in February & it was quite cold. Also, the Shaw's grocery store across the street from the hotel was really convenient for picking up snacks, bottled water, etc.
I'd definitely choose the same location again, probably even the same hotel. The T line stops were very close. We actually avoided the sky-high parking at the hotel by parking off of the Orange line on our way in from Manchester Airport.
Everything went well, definitely a good deal for Boston. The rate was even good for a hotel in a big city.
