This spot is a great location located right on the Charles in the heart of Boston that will allow you to rent a canoe or kayak very easily and take it for as long as you would like charging by the hour. They have newer Canoes and two to three person kayaks with all the gear. They even had sunblock and water. They have a staff that will assist you with getting your boats in and out and pushing them off. They supply the life jackets as well. It is situated in the Allston/Brighton area and close to Cambridge and if you follow the river takes you right to the downtown area. The only issue I saw with this place is they say they take credit cards, but they have this small machine they try to swipe your card through and it barely works. The kid helping us had a hard time and had no idea what he was doing. If you are going to rent here, bring cash. It is much easier and will make your time a bit better.
