We have just returned from a 8 night stay at the Hotel Fusion.
The location is great with all muni transport within walking distance, places to eat and the mall.
The staff go out of their way to be helpful, very polite and friendly.

The breakfast "room" is on the 5th floor, which our room was on and this was a good thing as I did not fancy walking around with lots of plates and drinks when you take it all back to your own room as that is the only place to eat it.
Breakfast is :- Bread for toasting, bagels and small muffins, with juice or hot drinks. A bit disappointed with the selection, we went out for breakfast at Mel's diner when we fancied some cereal and more substantial items.

Our room was clean and tidy with plenty of space to leave the 2 big cases on the floor and still be able to walk around. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom large and the shower a dream.

One problem was the noise on the street, every morning at 4am the garbage men came in a big truck to collect glass bottles, so the sound of a reversing truck and bottles crashing into it was not good. We got used to it though as the days progressed, the one night when hearing the noise we checked out the window to see whereabouts it was coming from. The truck seemed to be collecting garbage/glass from the opposite hotel, backing into, under that hotel, the whole of the surrounding hotels must hear this and I cant understand why they cannot collect at a more reasonable time?

Overall a great hotel, just a bit noisy but would recommend it.

Stay here for 3 Nights in Mid June.

Location is Excellent and is just 5mins walk from both Union Square and also the BART Station which makes it dead handy if your flying into SFO.

Room are small as mentioned but they are big enough for a short stop over and yes walls are thin, but personally didn't find it a problem.

Reception Staff 1st Class and spent ages working out directions for our route to our next destination

My husband and I stayed at Fusion for 2 nights and loved the location! the staff was very friendly and helpful. since the hotel is located in a busy shopping district, it is advisable to ask for a room that doesn't face the road.
the only complaint I had was that the breakast was served in a tiny room on the top floor and we had to pick it up and take it to our room since there was no place to eat there.
other than that, a great hotel and will definately stay there again!

My wife and I are in early 60s from Australia. Booked hotel in conjunction with Extranomical tours. The room was quiet (ask for internal facing) but rather small. Staff and housekeeping v friendly and accommodating. B'fast was help yourself to toast, danish and coffee etc. Fabulous location for touring city, just stones throw from cable car terminus and right in Union sq shopping precinct. Recommended.
