So, my husband and I decided to book here because of the kitchen since we were taking along 3 young kids. I had requested a one bedroom no loft, b/c our kids sleep early. Upon arrival, we found that the room had a huge open wall between the living room and bedroom with no partition. B/c no other one bedroom was available, we decided to upgrade to a two bedroom until a one bedroom that had a partition was open. I have to say that the two bedroom condo was quite nice (#110 in the main building) When it was time to move to our new room, I requested a late checkout so that it would be easier to move our things into the one bedroom. the guy at the front desk gave us a 2 o'clock check out but when I proceeded to ask him exactly what we were supposed to do with the card key (b/c it automatically expires at noon time checkout), he rudely asked me if I understood what he was talking about. Needless to say, so matter how many stars this lodging has, my question did not warrant the kind of response that he gave me. I was speechless, and I walked away fuming... I should have confronted him, but i decided to let it go. Now to give some credit to the Maui Kaanapali Villas, other front desk people were pleasant and helpful.

When we got to our new room, it had the partition, but it was definitely not as nice as the two bedroom. The decor was cheesy, and the bathrooms had a musty smell. On top of that, we kept finding small ants in the kitchen. We also had no internet connection, so I had to take my computer to the lobby. We were only staying two more nights, so we decided to stay in the room, as we didn't want to drag our luggage around again.

Having stayed here, would I want to return here again? It was a good deal for Kaanapali Beach, but it still wouldn't be enough for me to return. Sorry MKV, I'll be staying next door at the Westin Villas next time. At least there, I know all the rooms are predictable and consistent, and the staff wouldn't dare to treat their guests the way I was treated.

I had booked this hotel in Nov. '07 for a 5/20 - 5/29/08 stay. I had booked an ocean view room. Upon arrival, we we given a room on the 6th floor on the highway side of the tower. It was extremely noisy with minimal ocean view (certainly not like the pictures advertised).

We were willing to move to another room for the remainder of the stay, however, we could not ever talk to the manager to agree to move us. The front desk staff was sympathetic and tried their best, but every time we came back when the manager was supposed to be available, he had found other things to do and we'd be told to come back in another hour. After a full morning of this, the manager told one of the desk people to try their sister property down the road and see if they had an ocean view avail. - they did not. The best the hotel could offer was a move to another room in 4 days. We declined and the desk person told us that if we wanted to go elsewhere, they'd cancel the rest of our stay and refund the balance of our deposit. We jumped at the chance and found the Mahina Surf.

I was not happy about the room after booking so far in advance and not happy with a manager who couldn't be bothered with our problem and hid behind a door while letting his staff deal with a customer who was wasting the first day of their vacation waiting for him in their lobby.

Very comfortable studio condo accommodations with a large patio and kitchen. We were worried about staying here because you never really know what you are getting with a condo, but the unit was clean, spacious and comfortable and it was great to have a kitchen to save some $$ on food. New pools were great and a free shuttle stops right in front of the property. Castaways restaurant right next to the pool is awesome -- what a nice surprise and not overpriced. This is the best priced lodging on the beach in Maui.

This was our 2nd trip to Maui. The 1st time our daughter-in-law made all the arrangements. But because our Son and his wife asked us to accompany them we went with their selections.

This trip we took our friemds with us and I did all the reservations and I could not have done better. I found Napil Bay #116 on The internet. I called the owner and she was very friendly and courteous. We rented Napil Bay #116 from April 5th to the 11th of April. What a wonderful unit to relax, and enjoy the wonderful scenery and surrounding of the Kaanapali area. We loved the unit and view.

The unit had everything that a person needs to spend all the time they want in the unit or all the comfort needed just to sleep and shower there. We did both. we spent time lounging in the unit betweenour activities and it was just a wonderful peaceful unit to gather together and plan our next attack on the island.

The layout of the unit with the sliding door to close the bedroom off to the rest of the unit was a plus, and the interior decorations were very comforting and made you wish you could stay forever.

I would definitely rent Napil Bay #116 again and again if I could go to Maui as often as I would like. We definitely will be returning to this unit again. We may take our daughter and her husband as they will be celebrating their 25th anniversary later this year.

The owners were a pleasure to work with and I almost feel like I have known them all my life after just this one experience.
