“Fabulous Value, Great Experience”

ResortQuest Kaanapali Shores

Jun 13, 2008

We Booked Our June 2008 Family Vacation Through Natalie at Peak Travel. Literally Every Detail, From The Seating Arrangements on The Plane, To The Rental Car and Especially Our Two Bedroom Condo at The Kaanapali Shores Was Perfect.

The Kitchen Was Great, The In-Room Washer & Dryer Were Valuable. The Food Was Great At Their Restaurant and a Grocery Store Was Just Across The Street... Great Pool Options and The Beautiful Maui Beach Was About 100 Feet From Our Balcony.

I Would Highly Recommend This Condo Resort For Location, Price, Convenience, Parking & Ease... Well Done. We Will Go Back In A Heartbeat.

“perfect place to stay”

ResortQuest Kaanapali Shores

Jun 13, 2008

We just got back and I wanted to write this because I think everyone should know what a great place this was.. I have read some of the negatives and to the obviously impossible to please folks who wrote them next time stay at the Hyatt. Overall this place was everything we hoped for, beautiful spacious room, beautiful views, great service, location is close to everything, beach was sandy and great and some descent snorkeling right there if you swim out a little, (some rocks in the water but nothing serious), pools and grounds very well kept, and the food was good at the restaurant. We did learn one valuable lesson.. Make sure you book a room that has been renovated, and preferably one on a higher floor.. We had booked a standard garden view room and when we got there they put us in one on the 2nd floor that was not renovated. When we expressed our distaste for the room the management quickly offered to move us into a more acceptable room.. And it was beautiful.. Even though it was still garden view it had a great view of the ocean and some beautiful sunsets..To the owners of 737 kudos your condo is great.. Trust me I have had apartments myself much smaller and no where near as comfortable as this room... I could live there no problem..First of all the bedrooms have one king and one queen even though the web site says they only have twins in the spare.. We went as two adult couples so this was very important.. The bathrooms are nice and big and the kitchen was stocked with all your needs.. So in the end keep in mind as far as rooms go they aren't all perfect so make sure you either pay for the better ones up front or as we did you can always risk it and hope for the upgrade if it is available when you get there.. If you book through the hotel you can make sure you specify you want renovated rooms only and we suggest you ask for 737.. Thanks to all the staff at the shores for making our stay so wonderful..WE WILL RETURN!!!!!!

“Enjoyed the Aloha Suite”

ResortQuest Kaanapali Shores

4 of 5 stars
Central California
Jun 12, 2008

If you are able to book an aloha suite you will find great views and plenty of room. You are right above the beach and have a wraparound deck which looks out to an uninterrupted view. The size of the suite gave the six of us room to be together or get away.

We snorkeled off the beach almost every day and could watch the whales on a daily basis from our balcony. We were able to get pictures which rivaled the ones from the whale watch cruise.

They were remodeling suites on our floor, but they really did not bother us. Our suite is probably coming up for a remodel, but everything was comfortable and everything worked. The staff was great.

This was one of our best trips to Maui and the hotel was a big part of it.

    • Liked — The suite itself. It gave us what we needed.
    • Disliked — Rocky section of beach.

“Happy with resort”

ResortQuest Kaanapali Shores

4 of 5 stars
california
Jun 11, 2008

We just returned from an 8 day stay an this hotel. Except for a few minor things, we were happy with the hotel and would return.
We arrived 1 hour before check in and asked if we could check in early. Since we couldn't and we only had an hour more, we decided to leave our luggage with the bell man and do our grocery shopping. We returned from the grocery store at 3:05 (5 minutes after check in). We were told are room would not be ready for another 45 minutes. We did however make a special request for ground floor, and renovated room, so we were not to upset. The room was recently renovated and very nice and clean. Our neighbors room was not renovated and he was a little disappointed in how run down it was. The grounds are very nice and well kept. We were perfectly happy with our garden view room as we were not in the room much. The pools are on the small side compared to the other resorts but the kids still enjoyed them. The free hula show on Wed. nights is also a special treat. I thought the beach in front of the hotel was just fine. There was a very wide, sandy area, free from rocks for swimming.

One of my only complaints is that they nickel and dime you for everything. Parking is $9 a day, use of the safe is $2 a day. Charge for any call outside the hotel, local or not. We tried to make coffee one day but the unit did not have a measuring spoon to measure the coffee. They do supply you with one single use packet but we used that the first day. House keeping will not give you anymore packets so you must buy your own, which is understandable. All the staff seemed helpful and kind. The bell men were especially helpful and friendly.

For the price I would definetly come back here especially with kids. This is definetly more of a family resort.

“Very nice for the whole family”

Just got back yesterday from a week long stay at this resort. Very nice place if you are traveling with kids. The property has all the amenities you would need. The rooms (we stayed in a 1 bedroom suite) have all the comfort features you would expect. The washer/dryer in room was a huge plus. If the Hyatt is your style then this is not the place for you. What you can expect is a clean and comfortable room at a great price. The fitness center on site is very nice for those interested. It has free weights, machines and cardio machines. Very good for a workout. The Beachfront restaraunt was nice and convenient with food you would expect at say, Applebees or Chile's. The kids were excited about the pools and game room. We liked the grocery and clothing shop on site. The beach is fine if you just want to relax and have a good time. It's not gonna win any awards, but at least it's right there. The property grounds are 5 star. Everything is very beautifully kept. Overall, nice place to stay if you're in an extended group and want to save some money for the fun stuff and dining in Lahaina.
