OK so we are not "Wine Snobs" so maybe my opinion doesn't count.
This makes for a really lovely day on Maui, shop through the little towns including Makawo (galleries and boutiques) on the way up and make your way to the winery, the views are incredible and it is a nice respite from the resort sides of the island. The people are wonderful and REAL! This is a part of Hawaii most people never explore.
The pineapple wine has made a really unique gift for friends, we usually ship home a case and it has always been appreciated.
No it's not Sonoma...It IS HAWAII and well worth the trip!

This is not a fancy winery. They make wine from tropical fruit here so don't expect anything other than sweet-style wines. However, if you'd like to try something a bit diferent then I'd say this is a place to stop in. Its a bit off the path but it was quite entertaining. This is a great place to pick up a couple of bottles to bring home to say "I have Hawaiian wine"! They do have an excellent raspberry dessert wine.

A very nice drive down to the Winery on Hwy 37. Try the pineapple wine and free tour. This is the only winery on Maui and has beautiful grounds and a interesting history.

Whilst this is a lovely winery and setting, and the wines are a splash of colour and flavour that suits the tropical locale. I really have a hard time accepting the fact they call themselves "Tedeschi " since there has been a family vineyard with that name in Verona since 1824.
