We went to Hawai'i for the second time and this was our first time at Maui. We looked for an inexpensive accomodation and we found it with OceanBreeze Hideaway.

Located in the northern part of Kihei, the small and private looking Bed&Breakfast is off the typical tourist spots like Makena or Wailea.

The hosts Bob and Sande offer two nice rooms, the cheaper one is a little bit smaller, but it offers enough space even for a longer stay. The larger one (Coral Suite) offers more space and the room is fully airconditoned. There is a small fridge in both rooms and they have two seperate bahtrooms.

After a long day out at the beach or at the top of Haleakala the guests can relax outside at the lanai or at the spacious living room where you can find books or listen to the music.

Both rooms offer cable-TV and the ability of highspeed wireless internet.

The central location of OceanBreeze makes it easier to travel around the whole island. Kahului is about 15 minutes away, beautiful Lahaina about 30 minutes. The beach (one of the longest of Maui) is accessible by foot in a few minutes.

OceanBreeze offers their guests all the stuff needed at the beach like snorkel gear, sun umbrella chairs and towels for free.

The delicious breakfast is served by Bob and Sande themselves. There is a large variation every day with fresh fruit, self-made yogurt and other delicious goods.

Bob and Sande help their guests in all the questions what to do at Maui and they will tell you all the secrets during breakfast. They are great hosts who will do everything that the stay at Oceanbreeze will become unforgettable.

This was our 7th stay at Ocean Breeze Hideaway in Kihei, Maui. Hosts Sande & Bob are so thoughtful and caring. They share all sorts of stories and tips about Maui.............places to go and see, beaches for snorkeling with the sea turtles, beaches for body surfing, restaurants..........anything you want to know! Both Sande and Bob are wonderful hosts. Both the Ocean and Coral Suites (we've. stayed several times in each) are very clean and comfortable. The showers have great water pressure! The outdoor garden areas are so beautiful and tropical. The island breakfast on the oceanview breakfast lanai is delish! We looked forward to it every morning. We can't wait until our next stay at Ocean Breeze Hideaway next year.

After reading the reviews on trip advisor, we booked 5 nights here.

* Room is worn (1980's?)
* Mattress soft and sags a lot in the middle
* One screen door was broken, making it hard to get in and out
* Breakfast was so/so
* You have to drive everywhere you want to go

We like staying in B&B's. Overall, this one is below average.

We just returned from over 2 weeks in Hawaii. Maui was our first stop and we spent 6 nights at the Ocean Breeze in the Coral Suite. Bob, our host, was very helpful. It is like having a friend to seek advice from. The room was comfortable and has a private bath. Bob's breakfasts were healthy and delicious. You have beach chairs, umbrella, towels and a cooler at your disposal. This location makes it easy to see all of Maui. The price can't be beat for these accomodations.
