The grounds and our room were both gorgeous! Our room had nice linens, a well laid out and appointed bathroom, a deck, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Breakfast goodies and coffee were provided. The pool was great. We also had access to a shared washer and dryer, this came in very handy. Linens were nice and unlike many B&Bs towels set in our hamper were replaced daily. We stayed right before Christmas and were delighted to find a decorated tree in our room. I would recommend the Pineapple Inn to anyone.

After reading all the great reviews about the Pineapple Inn on Trip Advisor, I had high expectations! I was very pleased that the Pineapple Inn met all of them and more!
We got there a bit early and our room wasn't ready but we we welcomed and allowed to leave our luggage and sit by the pool until the room was ready. The pool area is beautiful and very relaxing with the plants, trees and flowers. The whole area is beautifully landscaped. Our room was fantastic! Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and well appointed. The breakfast items in the refridgerator were perfect, it was so nice to be able to wake up when we wanted to and not have to get dressed and be social first thing in the morning! Steve and Mark were very friendly, helpful and attentive.
It was very nice to have the free laundry available, what a great convienience!

After staying in condos in Kauai and Maui for two weeks, a three day weekend at the Pineapple Inn was just what we needed. A quiet, beautiful spot, tucked away from all the tourists and traffic. The beautiful grounds, breathtaking views, and friendly innkeepers were just what we needed to reflect on our vacation of a lifetime in Hawaii and prepare for our re-entry into the real world again.

Steve and Mark have created a true gem in the Pineapple Inn. Both are friendly, outgoing, and have a wealth of knowledge about the local beaches, restaurants, and shopping. The Inn is immaculate, attention has been given to every detail. This is the cleanest, place we have ever stayed.

If you love sunsets and ocean views, choose an upstairs room, we stayed in the Makena room. If stairs aren't your thing, then the downstairs rooms will work better. From the front porch of the downstairs room you can see the top of Haleakala on a clear day!

The pool and hot tub are wonderful after a long day at the beach! The pool is a "saline" pool, offering water that is warm and the same pH as your body. You can open your eyes underwater even with contact lenses! No harsh chemicals!

Mark and Steve have thought of everything. Fresh breakfast items are provided as well as everything you need for a relaxing day at the beach. (chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear, coolers)

I would suggest any of the rooms for a short visit. If you plan a longer stay, the guest cottage would be your best bet!

We stayed at the Pineapple Inn in early October and was thoroughly impressed. I have read all the reviews on this site, so I had very high expectations. I must say that not only was I not disappointed, but in sereral ways the Inn was better than I expected. I need to clarify that most negatives that have been mentioned in other reviews were things that would not normally bother me, such as the highway close by that you cannot see from the property. We stayed in the upper level Makena room which has a great view from the Lanai. I cannot say enough about the grounds. It is a paradise with all the tropical fragrances and foilage, not to mention the lovely pool and fountains. The inn is a special hideaway that is close to the Wailea / South Kihei beaches and shopping. Another big plus is having parking practically right outside your door. This intimate setting is not for everyone, but if you desire a private, tropical paradise in South Maui with a spotless, well furnished, comfortable room amid immpecable surroundings this is the place for you!
