“nice cozy maui beach hotel--I LOVED IT!!!!!!”

Maui Beach Hotel

THIS HOTEL WAS AMAZING!! My fiance was a little hesitant at taking me here but I loved it. GREAT SERVICE, SMILING AND COURTEOUS STAFF. Nice, cozy little hotel, kind of open, I could really relax there. It's close to the harbor where Norwegian Cruiseline comes in. I didn't get to tour the hotel because of my schedule but I heard the pool was amazing!!!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Down the street from lots of shopping (2 MALLS).

Pros:
Central Location, Plenty of FREE parking & Bell Desk Service

Cons:
Front Desk Service, Rooms in General, Over Priced Rates & Noisy Air Conditioning.

There's no denying that this is an ideal location to the airport and a great starting point to tour both sides of the Island. But other than that, everything else is just below average.

With no real competition, other than the Maui Seaside, this property displays the "take it or leave it" mentality. The front desk staff always seems busy doing something else and never shows that they really want to help you or care for that matter.

The room that we stayed in, Room 139, facing the grass, was a recently renovated room with new paint on the walls and new shower paneling. However, the shower was barely big enough for an adult. The furniture was tacky tropical furniture from the 70's, that has seen better days. Believe it or not, renovations are still going on, so if you do decide to stay here please check with the hotel when booking this property.

This property would be comparable to a Days Inn or Motel 6, but you don't pay the same comparable room rates as those national chains. I paid $110 a night for this room, that I probably would be paying about $69 at Days Inn.

If you have options, stay somewhere else...SGS 050707

“Bait and Switch is their Speciality.....”

Maui Beach Hotel

May 3, 2007
5/6 found this review helpful

Bait and switch is their speciality and if you are in a pinch, they could care less. Not locally owned, but by a external firm which translates to poor serivice, lousy attitudes, money grabbing, standard to poor rooms and a terrible value, spend the time/money and stay somewhere else even if you are just passing through...

“Not Impressed”

I must say I expected a bit more from this hotel.

Most hotels offer coffee machines in room but this one didn't and to make matters worse is their restaurant is only open for early breakfast until 9a.m. I believe and not again until 5.30 or so for dinner and closed at I believe 7 p.m.
They only offered buffet style food and quite overpriced for what they served.
They also seem to cater to asian cuisine more so than having american choices.
The bathroom floors had hair not removed from the previous guest and the same piece's of hair were still there after three days of maid service.
The pool closed at 5 p.m. daily which was another turnoff.

I received a fax which they charged me $4.50 for two pages .
Some gouging there if you ask me. I wouldn't go there again

“Take air freshener”

Maui Beach Hotel

Jan 15, 2007

Your Man Tours booked us here on the Kings Tour. Rooms were clean but extremely small. Horrible smell. We went to the 99 cent store at the mall and bought the tree card air fresheners you use in your car. We hung one on the lamp and one in the closet. By the end of our stay the room smell was more tolerable. Difficult to get luggage out of the closet because of the small room the closet is just inches from the bed.. Within wlaking distance of 2 malls and a drug store. Clean bathrooms. New/modern rooms. Pictures on website and brichures are a little misleading. Pool is upstairs with extremely limited hours. Decent and reasonably priced breakfast buffet. Lots os cable channels including Fox Sports Net West.
