We recently returned from a trip to the islands and Kauai was amazing. Waimea Canyon was the highlight of the trip for me! So beautiful and peaceful. Honestly, it's so amazing that pictures cannot accurately describe what you will see!! Breathtaking - I cannot wait to go back and spend some time there - maybe hiking through.

We went to Kauai in early January 2008. It rained quite a bit while we were on our way to the canyon, but the sun came out just in time. Lots of waterfalls and rainbows. The canyon is stunning. Takes at least half a day in a car and more if you're getting out of the car and wandering around - which is well worth doing. At the end of the day, head to Jojo's Shave Ice in Kekaha. Perfect ending to a marvellous day.

When I visited Waimea Canyon, it had been pouring for days. When we reached one of the overlooks, we could see dozens of waterfalls cascading down the cliffs of the canyon. It was gorgeous, and a sight that I will never forget. Waimea Canyon is seriously one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been.

If you ever get a chance to experience the Hawaiian islands, this is a must-do! The view is awesome. Kauai is really an island paradise and Waimea Canyon is a gem. Equally breath-taking is to take a boat tour along the Nepali Coast. This was one of the greatest trips our family has been on.
