I have just gotten back from the Beautiful Island of Kauai where I have been going for the past 12 years, one place I would not miss visiting while there is the Kapaia Stitchery, the owner Julie and her wonderful staff are very attentive and full of ALOHA. The store has the best stock of batiks I have ever seen, if you are a quilter like me, DON"T MISS IT, if you are not a quilter, once you visit this store I know you will be.

I was able to visit this store while we were in Kauai in December 2006 - It was like heaven! Large selection of batiks and Hawaiian quilt patterns. People at the store were so nice - we were there over an hour and my husband even enjoyed hanging around at the store talking with people there. We came out of the store feeling so happy :-) Great experience!

I like quilting with batiks ~ to my surprise they had more choices than I have ever seen. They even have one that is only available at their store with Hono's on it. I love hono's as much as quilting. I will return often from Oregon to get my tropical Hawaiian fabrics which they also have a ton of and at a really reasonable price.

The selection of Hawaiian print fabrics is awesome at the Kapaia Stitchery. The owner and staff seem like old friends after just a few minutes of conversation. This is the place to stop if you want to take a little bit of the islands home with you.
