My husband and I had a great time on our flightseeing trip with Wings Over Kauai. The captain, Bruce, makes you feel completely comfortable and it helps tremendously that he is so friendly and at ease himself.

There were three main reasons that we chose to do an airplane tour instead of the helicopter: 1. The price, Wings OVer Kauai was less than half the price of helicopter tours. 2. The plane tours were recommended to us by people we spoke to while in Kauai. 3. My husband gets motion sickness which helicopters aggravate badly. Ellen gave my husband some ginger candies to help his nausea before we left and Bruce was extremely good about checking to make sure he was still doing good.

Our tour with Wings Over Kauai was definately one of the highlights of our trip!

Definitely not! I took a tour with Wings Over Kauai and my experience was fantastic. I chose Wings Over Kauai because I felt like I was chartering my own private plane. Wings Over Kauai has a four-seater airplane, so it will only be Captain Bruce and your party (2-3 people). Wings Over Kauai also has the option to customize your tour to allow you to fly over the sites you want to see. I wanted to see all the waterfalls on Kauai and Captain Bruce, the friendliest Captain you will ever fly with, flew us around the entire island and took us, as he jokingly told his wife afterwards, "to every [--] waterfall on the island". If you think that helicopters have a better view than an airplane, think again. The airplane Wings Over Kauai uses is engulfed with windows and I never noticed the wings my entire flight. I guaranteed that a flight with Wings Over Kauai will be a highlight of your trip!

If cost is a concern, it shouldn't be. You should visit an Activity World booth, one is conveniently located at Coconut Coast Market. You will need to attend a timeshare presentation. Timeshare presentations are incredibly lame, but well worth your time. My tour should have been $260, 70 min. for two people, but it was drastically reduced to $96.

I chose Wings Over Kauai over the many Helicoptor options for two reasons. The price (1/2 of the Helicoptor tours) and the fact that they allowed us to bring aboard our 5-month old infant. I was very pleased with my choice!
Ellen is the office manager and she is great. Friendly and happy to be living in paradise as she supports her husband's lifelong dream to be a pilot. She offered a lei to my wife and a plush doll for my son. My son is now attached with the doll who we call "Wing."
Bruce is the pilot and he is a supurb tour guide. I felt very safe and the trip was very interesting. He is very informative being a PHD is agronomy. The trip around the island was the best 70 minutes of our vacation.
The tour is very interactive. I participated in the ground check list as my wife lead the service crew with drink service. We all had headsets with microphones to participate in the dialog as soft Hawaiian music played in the background.
The Island is beautiful. There are many breathtaking views that can only be seen from the air. I highly recommend Wings for a safe and personal tour.

This tour was the biggest bang for the buck! Bruce(the pilot)
made us feel as if we had known him for years. This is a must do if you want to do an air tour!
