Snow King was probably a top-notch resort when it was built, which would appear to be the 1970's. It's a large ski-resort close to downtown Jackson at the base of the snow king ski area. However, it has lost a lot of its lustre and more importantly, they just miss alot of small details. During my stay there was major construction going on just outside the window. The windows in the room, as well as all of the public doors and windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. The room was clean but dated. The bathroom had some mildew and didn't have an exhaust fan(!). Otherwise the room was fairly large and cheery with a good view of the mountains. The facility itself just had a "dated" feel. Carpeting throughout was kept clean but needed replacement. Hallways were banged and scratched. The whole place just needs a face lift. The staff is friendly but unenthusiastic. Parking lot is poorly lit. If you are coming during ski season, this place would probably be a good bet. If you are coming during the summer and visiting Jackson/Yellowstone, there are better places for the money.
