Hotel is very convenient to DC metro area.
On site restaurant is very good and highlight of this hotel. Lunch selections were interesting and well prepared; cost for this area was very reasonable (and surprisingly affordable for restaurant on Hilton premises). Breakfast buffet included in room price was great, lot of choices and all good. Only quibble was no "cook to order" options (as example, could not order an omelet, only choice for eggs were scrambled in on-line serving station).
Room was average for Hilton but no better. While room had decent furniture, bed was comfortable and room was clean, well regulated (temperature) and adequate in size, you do not get amenities you normally find at much lower priced hotels. As example, neither a microwave oven nor a mini-refrigerator were available. Bath amenities (shampoo, hand cream, etc) above average, all linen fine. TV was about 32 inch in size; standard (not flat screen) and standard channel selections, including HBO. Room did have coffee maker, iron, and hair dryer. All basics covered and room was clean and comfortable but nothing memorable.
No view from window; this hotel meant clearly for business travelers. Did not use pool or workout area but both available. Hotel does provide a business center (no extra charge) with two computers and printers and basic MS Office software. I did not check but rooms told rooms do have wireless LAN.
Front desk service quick and efficient. Free USA Today newspaper provided. Lobby not large but very well appointed and classy look.
No stores adjoin hotel but Mall and other stores and restaurants within mile (short drive).
In short, good hotel but nothing spectacular. Good choice for business traveler but felt value at price paid for Government rate ($203 per night) was below average.
