I travel to Dallas often on business in the Plano/Frisco area. I have usualy stayed at the Westin Stonebriar, which I suspected was the best hotel in the area. Recently, they were booked and my assistant made a reservation at the Marriott at Legacy. this will now be my first choice. I much preferred this property, great location, park setting, hotel services, restaurants, better room service food, etc.

Some people still might prefer that the Westin is quieter and has the 42 in flat screens, but unless you're planning on playing golf at stonebriar, I much prefer the Marriott between the Westin, Sheraton and Marriott (all on Legacy).

Four friends and I went to the Dallas area for a "girls weekend" and stayed at this hotel for one of our nights away. One of the girls often stays at Marriott properties and had a discount offer for a suite. It included a beautiful two-room suite with a living area (refrigerator, TV, sofa bed, etc.) half bath, bedroom (another TV, two beds, desk area), and a full bath. We also had a small balcony that overlooked this lovely property, as well as two free breakfasts. (We opted to use our "credits" to have room service instead of the buffet.) This hotel sits in the heart of a very trendy area called The Shops at Legacy, and I only wish we'd had more time to explore there. There are a multitude of restaurants with outdoor dining and some neat little shops. There was live music outside on Saturday night as well. Neat little area! We found the hotel to be very clean and lovely, and the staff was friendly and helpful. There was one valet in particular who answered lots of questions for us and didn't act the least bit annoyed by our lack of familiarity with the area. There is also great shopping nearby at the Stonebriar Mall in Frisco and at the Allen Outlet Shops, two of our other destinations. I'd highly recommend this hotel for a weekend getaway, be it with friends or with your spouse. I'd definitely stay there again.

I've stayed here twice in the past few months - both times were wonderful! The second time I was in a two-room suite with a view of the park out front - lovely!

I will say though - be aware that the internet service is $9.95/day and in my room the connection was so low that it kept booting me off. I called to the desk to ask why the connection was so low in my rooms, they had their engineer "check the server" but I saw no improvement on my computer. I was told the charges would be removed from my bill - when the bill was placed under my door - the charges were still there. I asked about it when I checked out and after the clerk confirmed my previous call about poor internet service to my room - she removed both days' internet charges. The moral - check the connection before paying for it - and if you do have a problem - call the front desk so they can log your call and back up your story when you check out.

Other than that - the stay was wonderful, the hotel is beautiful, the food in the restaurant was good, the rooms were quiet.

Cant fault the hotel or location - it's nice and close to all the restaurants but if you are staying on the Concierge floor and expecting a " decent" breakfast then this is not the place for you. The conciege floor breakfast is poor at best. No oatmeal, sliced toast, eggs etc. In comparison to other Marriott Concierge floors this would be the worst I have stayed at ( Stay at 20 different Marriotts per year)

But the hotel is nice and friendly staff but come on hotel lift your game on the Concierge floor..
