Stayed for one night while I was working Dallas Market. Very convenient location, and lots of great restaurants within walking distance. The staff is fantastic. Super friendly. The only bad thing was a hair in the bathroom.

I stayed here recently during a cross-country move. I chose this La Quinta for a combination of reasons -- great location (across the highway from Highland Park and a strip mall with plenty of places to eat), pet friendly, and low cost ($69/night).

There were a couple of minor mishaps when we first checked in. First, our key cards didn't work on the room that was assigned to us (it turned out both of the key cards were coincidentally faulty). Then, we were given another room, but the tv didn't work. Finally, the hotel staff were kind enough to move us to the suite, where we had two working tv's and a minifridge. The staff were very gracious throughout each of the various mishaps and were extremely attentive to our needs.

The suite (which featured a king size bed in the bedroom and a separated living room with a couch) was definitely nicer than the normal room (two double beds), which is on the small side. It did look like complimentary wireless internet access was available in every room (the non-suite room actually had its own wireless router attached to the desk).

As I mentioned, the location is great, and we had dinner at a wonderful Indian restaurant across the street. We really appreciated having dining options other than the usual Cracker Barrel or Chili's fare. Even though the La Quinta is right on the interstate, we did not notice any bothersome levels of noise (and our suite was even on the side of the building facing the interstate). The complimentary continental breakfast was typical but at least had fresh fruit (strawberries, grapes, and bananas), which is all I ask of my continental breakfasts.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay, thanks in large part to the staff. They were friendly and helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make us comfortable.

My wife and I chose this motel for its location, which is great. Lots of great restuarants and shops around the area. This is an older property where the door to the room is adjacent to the parking lot. We were a little disappointed when we entered the non-smoking room. It smelled as if it had been a "smoking" room at some point in the not-so-distance past. The carpet also looked a little worn. Other than that, the room was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. The free Wi-Fi was nice too. A free continental breakfast was offered and it was pretty standard. They did offer fresh fruit which was a nice touch. The staff was great and very attentive.

I stay at this property at least 30 days each year (2 to 3 nights each month) and have found it to be an excellent property in the price range. The staff is fantastic and the rooms are clean and well prepared. The neighborhood is safe and I love the proximity to places like Chuy's and The Old Monk. Great restaurants and bars are within walking distance (No DUI's!) and a cab will be at your door within five minutes of a call. Distance to downtown and the AA Center is 10 minutes and to Northpark Mall about eight minutes the other direction. Stay in a room facing the rear if traffic noise bothers you (it doesn't me so I always stay in a pool room on the second floor). This property is super close to SMU and the Gerald Ford Stadium.
