Will not be staying here again!
First we will start with the good. The staff is very friendly and always seemed willing to help with the run of the mill questions.
Price was really good, as I stayed 7 nights at $120 a night.
However, the bad outweighed the good on this one.
The first room I was in (skyview wing), the phone didn't work, one of the overhead lights was burned out and the wallpaper was peeling off the wall. The staff was very polite about moving me to another room (atrium wing). My room was on the 20th floor, and let me tell you, the train is a bother! I travel all the time, including NYC, and I have no problem with city noises....however, there are 4 trains (2 freight, amtrak and a local) that run within 100 yards of this hotel. And they were a nuance the whole week.
My "new room" was a bit of a disappointment as well. The bathroom had mildew stains on the ceiling, the carpet in the corner of the bedroom was coming up and ragged in the corners and there was a mysterious 3 foot red (i am assuming magic marker) smear beside the bed.
Speaking of the bed, while the mattress itself was comfortable, the hotel insists on cutting corners and using flat sheets as the bottom sheet...which we all know after about 30 minutes of lying on it, it shifts, and you find yourself touching the mattress....which is a little creepy to me. Also, they have down comforters on the beds, but here again, they insist on using 2 flat sheets as the duvet cover, and after about 2 hours of moving around in the bed...you have no idea what goes where!
Last but not least, I ordered room service on Friday night. On Monday morning, after the cleaning lady had been 2 times, the room service tray still sat on the desk in my room. So Monday I called room service to come have it removed....and after 6 hours, I gave up and just set it outside my door. It sat there until Tuesday morning......
Sorry...one more thing. The location of this hotel leaves something to be desired. You cannot walk anywhere, due to the hotel is offset from downtown by about 6 or 8 city blocks. Now normally this would not be a problem, but there is a very dark underpass that you have to walk under to get to downtown....hence limiting your capabilities.
So...my bottom line.....find somewhere else in your price point!
Safe travels!
