Great place to stay.The staff is very helpfull. Breakfast is great!

My husband's truck was broken into in the parking lot. They did major damage to the door and demolished the dashboard to get to the radio. The hotel told us they had a security guard and a video camera on the parking lot, but I when I called the hotel manager, Sandra E. McGregor, and left her a message asking if we could see the video, she never called back! They obviously lie, and I suspect one of their own employees is involved in the thefts as I read on this site that someone had their car broken into there last October. And this hotel simply doesn't care as they can't be held legally responible...the front desk people practically snickered at us when we told them what happened. My husband has been staying there a lot for work, a loyal customer, but they didn't care. We left immediately to a safer hotel. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IF YOU VALUE YOUR CAR AND BELONGINGS.

I spent just one night in Dallas and chose this hotel rather randomly but let me tell you it was fantastic. The owner/operator, Sandra McGregor and her staff were exceptional. They provided a wonderful "family" feel to my stay. The room was anything but standard and the service offered excellent. A continenatal breakfast was included in the very reasonable tariff. I have paid more for a lot less I can tell you!!! Sandra also operates a complimentary shuttle service to and from the local area which made getting around for me very easy and not at all stressful. I took a cab from Dallas International (not Dallas Love which is closer to the hotel) and got there in no time at all which meant a reasonable cab fare too. I'd have to give my stay an A+++++ and highly recommend it to any travellers to Dallas.

I've stayed at the Wingate Inn at Market Center several times in the past and was taken aback by the bad reviews. I was pleasantly surprised.

Wingate has upgraded their breakfast since the last time I stayed there in January of 2005. My room was clean, pleasantly decorated, and well appointed with a king size bed as well as a king size sofa bed, free wireless internet, a nice desk to work at, a coffee pot, refrigerator, and microwave.

My only complaint was that the shuttle for market didn't have enough seating and since we were in a hurry I sprung for a cab but at my internet rate of $79 a night I could afford to!

I've paid a lot more for a room during Dallas Market but the Wingate Inn was just as good as most of the other ones.
