When attempting to pay for the stay at check-in it took two managers to do a cash/credit purchase which later left me believing I was shorted $125.00. Day one went over well, but the evening of day two was an absolute nightmare.
A person in our group was called to the front desk at 2 am and was told that we had to pack up and leave because services were not paid. Over $400 in cash and the rest via credit were charged to me, so I know the room was paid. The front desk clerk Doris was yelling and screaming at a member of our party when I arrived in the lobby. I even witnessed Doris raise her hand up, slap the front counter and yell as loud as she could, "Shut UP!!!" Mind you that nobody in our group was rude or loud to Doris, she just had a difficult time performing simple tasks.
Long story short, Holiday Inn was attempting to charge a Visa when I gave them a Gold Mastercard. What a nice reason to be woke up and yelled at for.
The rooms are basic, the room service was poor and the decore for a popular downtown hotel was nothing special. Considering our weekend 2 night stay cost over $800.00, I feel this hotel did not provide a quality service.
In reference to the Doris situation the manager did comp one nights stay which has yet to post to my credit card. You make the decision.
