We've just returned from a 4 night stay it the two bedroom suite. I took my elderly parents here for their Christmas present. It was spacious, clean, convenient to the major highways despite the destitute area (An abandon mall, and cinema) but I suspect all this will change with the construction of the Hardrock Café Amusement Park opening Spring 2008. The breakfast was nice I personally enjoyed the waffle station even though it only had strawberries as topping and the Orange Juice was simple delicious (despite it came out of a machine). My folks seemed to enjoy the daily selection of hot entrées that were offered. They even got up early each morning as not to miss the breakfast serving hours (M-F 06:30am to 09:30am). It was cute they’d come back from breakfast and take a nap. Since we were late starters the maid skipped us on Monday and no service on Christmas so, I called the desk on Wednesday about noontime to assure that we’d get service that day, which of course we did. I also called because we were there during a cold snap and I couldn’t get the heat to heat the suite (I had it set to 77 but I couldn’t get it warmer than 68) but that too was a taken care of however, now I’ve got a cold from the cold air blowing on me in bed all night. But, I highly recommend this hotel and special thanks to the staff for making us feel at home. I didn’t know about the evening receptions and unfortunately wasn’t able to attend them during this visit they smell delicious as the smells wafted down the hallway, the menu was posted on the refrigerator in the well equipped kitchen. Also, a side note the living room TV had a working DVD and VCR to use free of charge.

First thing you need to do is book the hotel via their own website. I tried other websites and they would either match or be more than their direct website. Yes the immediate location isn't the best, but it's minutes away from everything. Once HardRock Park in open (I believe late Spring), they will be the premier location.

The staff was excellent, such a delight to see now adays. They were friendly and outgoing to ensure our stay exceeded our expectations. The room was clean and very spacious. Better than anything else in Myrtle Beach. Since I travel to Myrtle Beach on a regular basis, I see no other reason to stay anywhere else!

We stayed 4 days. It was a good location. Next to Hwy 501, 10-15 minutes from downtown. They had the best breakfast. Hot food - waffles, eggs, oatmeal, grits, etc. - Nice location for you to relax and eat it. The suites were nice. Plenty of room, nice showers. The mall was 5 minutes away in one direction, the outlets were 5 minutes away in the other direction. This was our first time staying at this hotel chain. Will definitely check them out whereever I go.

This property is OK, but the location is terrible. EVERYTHING in the area is closed except Medieval Times. Will be the closest hotel to Hard Rock Park when it opens next year. But for now the hotel is adjacent to a huge outlet mall ghost town and theme park construction. Not where I wanted to spend MY vacation! Wish we had paid a little more and stayed at Broadway at the Beach which is a wonderful, fun place! This hotel was mostly clean and quite spacious-we were in a two bedroom suite. The beds were comfy with very nice sheets. Kitchen was nicely equipped even tho we only used the frig. I did feel the place was showing some age--furniture and bed linens were starting to look slightly worn and faded. Still, all in all-- it was OK. However, on our last night, a bug about 3 inches long turned up on the floor that looked very roach-like. My overall impression of the place dropped drastically at that moment. Tourist Tips: Don't miss the The ONE show at the Alabama Theatre! OUTSTANDING! Le Grande Cirque at the Palace Theatre is also entertaining. Carolina Opry--best for the over 60 country music fan. Dining out is a challenge if you are seeing shows while in MB. Restaurants fill up by 5:00. We tried eating after the show but the better places were closed. The few places that stay open past 10:00 still had 45 minutes wait times. SUGGESTION: Take a day and drive an hour south of MB to Georgetown. There you can catch a boat ride to a barrier island for awesome scenery and shelling. We got a little wet , learned alot from the narrator and watched thunderstorm clouds gather in the distance. Well worth every penny. Call ahead for reservations (it's in all the travel books you find around MB). There is also a Pirate Ship boat ride that looked like great fun--we just an out of time!
