“What a terrible disappointment...”

Inn at Harbour Town - Sea Pines Resort

What a terrible disappointment. I selected this hotel based upon reading the reviews here on Trip Advisor. What a huge mistake! I cannot believe that this hotel is still rated as 4 diamond. We stayed in what we thought would be a more upscale room overlooking the golf course. However, our room was old and dirty. The bedding and sheets in our room were bloodstained. The carpet was filthy. It was not vacuumed before or during our stay. The bathroom was dirty with a nice glob of toothpaste stuck in the sink. The granite counter in the bath does not make up for the obvious age of the bathroom. The walls are paper thin and I woke up to a gentleman and woman singing early one morning "Good Morning, Good Morning" for a solid 20 minutes! Must have been the highlight of my trip!
Definitely NOT worth the money. I travel a lot (world wide) and this was one of the worst yet, as well as one of the pricier.
We would have changed hotels if we could, but you must initial your departure date when you check in and BEFORE you see your room, which incidently, is NOT as pictured on their website. I imagine that I am not the only one that would have liked to check back out as soon as I saw the accommodations.
Yes, the English youngsters that are brought here for a year to serve the clients are very well mannered and helpful, but even their charm cannot make up for this less than desirable experience. I am SO disappointed and my vacation is not what I thought it would be.

Wow what a wonderful Inn we stayed during the Verizon Heritage week and whilst the Inn was extremely busy the Staff made us feel as though we were the only guests, We would like to mention in particular Andrew a young english guy who was polite and most helpful with a great sense of humour.
We will definately be returning to the Inn.

“Great hotel”

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in on one of the best islands I have visited. The inn is located right on the first tee of the Harbour Golf Links course and the rooms look directly over it with beautiful views. The rooms are also spacious and well appointed.

The hotel is gorgeous enough but it is the staff that make it so good. They try their hardest to cater to your every whim (Andrew in particular worked hard to make our stay memorable). The fact that they are mostly students from England make them all the more charming.

I would definately recommend this hotel to anybody wanting a golf getaway or a romantic anniversary.

The perfect place to relax and unwind.
We will be back!

“Best I've Stayed At in Hilton Head”

Inn at Harbour Town - Sea Pines Resort

Best thing I liked was that the hotel staff were friendly and professional, but one did not have to walk a gauntlet of employees hanging around in the lobby with their hands stuck out for tips for saying hello. In fact, the staff were not pushy at all, but were very attentive and proactive in ensuring your stay was pleasant. It was a very genteel environment.

This hotel seemed to attract a more upscale and secure clientele rather than obnoxious obese tourists with video cameras or loud braggart nervous new rich types.

Nice jogging/bicycling trails. Very short walk to lighthouse area. Large pool with landscaping and privacy from the street

The only negatives were that the property was not within walking distance of the beach (maybe not a bad thing as it kept the riff-raff away); and it was quite a drive to get to other places on the island. While it was nice, in some respects, I felt like I was staying in a minimum security prison after the hassle of getting through the security gate; and then finding there were no through streets to other island areas. Still, this hotel is definitely a notch or more above the many others I have stayed at on the island; and only the third hotel I have ever rated at 5 stars.

We stayed here for the first time and had combined our golf trip with a couple of days at the beach before hand. If Golf is your thing I highly recommend this place. it is a great Inn with lots to do in the area. The Inn is very nice and the service is good. as for dining I would recommend outside the resort itself. A couple of spots we found were Michael Anthony's and Antonio's both Italian, but really great food, good wine list. Attentive service. we also tried Red Fish but we were disappointed, I wouldn't discourage it, but maybe the tapas bar would be a better alternative to the dining room. we were rushed through and the food was less than impressive. we did note that the wine bar did look more appealling. We will try that on our return.
