My husband, our 1 year old daughter, and I stayed at the Seacrest Villas in June. We were joined by our friends and their 2 year old son. The 2 bedroom villa was a great choice for us. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom, with our own entrance. We could not hear eachother when the doors were closed, even with crying babies. The bathrooms were very spacious and clean. We had a villa with a view of the pool and ocean. The balcony was a little small (only room for 4 chairs side by side), but we made do. The location was great! We were right on the beach which was great if we had to run to the room for something, or to bring back a tired, wet, sandy child (it beats having to get in a car and drive back). And across the street are many shops and resaurants. Hilton Head is a great place for families and the Seacrest really accomodates families. We also enjoyed making breakfast and lunch in our kitchen and found almost all the appliances and utensils that we needed. The pool bar was ok, a bit pricey for hot dogs and hamburgers, but again, very convenient. There are so many places to stay on Hilton Head, and this is one to definately consider if you have children.

We have stayed at Sea Crest for the past 3 years and have always enjoyed our stay. The rooms have always been clean and the location is right across from Coligny Plaza which has many different stores, great restaurants and a grocery store.

The Sea Crest has beautiful views from the ocean front 3 bedroom villa we rented for the week. Here is the rest of the story.....

First off, this is not a hotel, these are private residences and there is a difference. There are no services and no staff onsite. It took us literally 5 mintues to get the lock to work on the front door because the key would not go into or turn the unlubricated lock. We complained about this on Saturday and they sent a service person out on MONDAY. We had already fixed the problem ourselves by then. The villa was not clean and was in a state of disrepair.

One of the bathtubs had no water running to it. A mirror was broken over one of the dressers. The kitchen had not been cleaned. The floors were dirty. There were ants on the floor eating crumbs left by the previous renters. The wall paper was peeling off the wall. A smoke detector had been ripped out of the wall. The refrigerator door shelves had been ripped out. Of the two phones in the three bedroom villa, one had no phone cord. The master bedroom sliding glass doors had been permanetly sealed so that you could not open the doors. A barstool was broken in half but placed back together so that you could easily fall out of it not knowing it was in two pieces. The electric stove had the wrong size trays beneath the eyes, so that none of the eyes layed flat making it hard to use it to cook. The place was decorated in white furniture and carpet which was all very dirty and stained. When we called to complain, they did agree to reclean the room, which they barely recleaned when they returned. We had to clean up the place after they left. When we told the realty company this is not how to get repeat customers, the lady told us NOT TO COME BACK. We could not believe we paid over $2600 for this type of treatment. They offered us a $100 voucher for our next trip back there, but we will NOT go back. We have stayed at numerous other hotels and have rented houses before and NEVER had trouble or service like this.

Just got back from our second Hilton Head vacation. We stayed at the SeaCrest Resort and had an awesome time. The units were spacious and clean, and the resort exceeded our expectations. We will definitely stay at the SeaCrest next year.
