“Heaven at Le Boscarecce”

Locanda Le Boscarecce

Locanda Le Boscarecce is like a little piece of heaven. The views are breathtaking, the sunset and sunrises are inspiring, and the location allows for a certain amount of tranquility.

The farmhouse is very inviting with a lovely grass tennis court and an inviting outdoor swimming pool. The rooms boast cathedral ceilings with Tuscany decor. Very neat and very clean. There is a central eatery with a stove and table and fireplace and then the four surrounding rooms share that common place. Ideal for extended family vacations.

Susanna is the proprietor of the Inn and her sister runs the Inn in Florence. If you rent a car, they allow you to park for free at either property. Susanna is such a loving and caring host who truly caters to your every need. Our son unfortunately had to stay over in the local hospital for one evening due to a nasty infection in his arm. Susanna was a God send in that she translated the doctors orders and even secured an extra bed in the room so that I could stay with my son while he was receiving treatment. If Susanna is not on the property, no need to worry because her daughter is also always available and just as loving and just as caring and helpful.

Every evening, dinner is served at 8p.m. with a champagne toast. The chef prepares such wonderful delicacies which are both visually stimulating as well as deliriously delicious. The atmosphere is very relaxing and calming after a full day of touring the local sights. Siena, Volterra, Vinci, Florence are all must sees and are within 1 hour driving or 1 hour by train.

We enjoyed our stay with these gracious hosts and their wonderful farmhouse so much that we would recommend these accommodations to anyone looking for a vacation they will never forget !

This is a truly lovely location, with gorgeous views of many miles of Tuscan hills, and the rooms and public areas are very attractive. Susanna is an accomplished host and very helpful when asked for information about the surrounding area. My husband had excellent food, but I was disappointed that little preparation or subsequent effort was made for my vegetarian diet, which I had requested when booking.
The pot-holed track to the property was also off-putting.
However, if you follow a normal diet and don't have to travel on the track you would probably enjoy it.
Shame, though.

“The Perfect Spot”

We had asked our travel agent to find us a "real Italian cooking school" in Tuscany, one that wasn't run by Americans from NYC or Miami. She found Le Boscarecce (which has also gone by the name of "Villa Ravelli") and all of our desires were met. Sitting proudly on a private hilltop estate, this family-owned and operated inn offers; a wonderful clean and comfortable place to stay; the opportunity to participate in a variety of casual yet professional informative instruction in Tuscan cooking, the mysteries of olive oils, the subtle points of matching wines and cheeses; and an ideal location for launching delightful daytrips into the Tuscan countryside to enjoy the breathtaking Chianti region, the intriguing home of Leonardo, Vinci, and many other historically significant villages and architectural sites. The Chef prepares authentic fresh local cuisine served with passion and pride. The sommelier provides an experience of enjoying fine Italian wines and local cheeses that we can only wish were available at home. And the proprietor/hostess makes one feel very much at home while also providing a depth of knowledge of the history and culture of the region that enables full enjoyment of the many excursions recommended. There is a well-maintained large swimming pool and tennis court, should you chose to just kick back for the day. The rooms were clean and spacious with comfortable beds and well-equipped large bathrooms. Our two rooms felt more like a large apartment, as we shared a common area with fireplace, small kitchen, and a sitting/dining area. Our only regret was that we didn't plan a longer stay at Le Boscarecce. We look for our next opportunity to return.

“Lovely Tuscanny Guest House”

Locanda Le Boscarecce

From start to end, staying at Le Boscarecce was a real treat. Susanna helped us with advice for trips in the area supplying suggestions and maps, pointers and tips along the way, and even suggested where to stay overnight on our journey up from Rome. The guesthouse is just lovely, situated in beautiful Tuscan hills, with landscaped gardens - a little bit like heaven on earth. We would love to return and hope one day we will.

“Perfecto, we had a wonderful time”

Locanda Le Boscarecce

We stayed at Le Boscarecce for ten days in November. It was wonderful, the setting is beautiful, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, the food and wine are the best but the best thing is the Ravilli family who go so far out of their way to make your stay a pleasing and unique experience. We are experienced travelers in Italy and usually go twice a year. We will go back to Le Boscarecce and make it the central focus of our stay next year.
