My husband & I stayed here for 1 night during our drive from NH to MO in early August 2005. We also had our 75lb dog with us. The hotel is visible from the turnpike and easily accessible. There's a little diner located next door, but we didn't eat there. The hotel has some breakfast basics like juice, coffee, yogurt, and donuts. But, we hiked up the turnpike to the nearest service plaza to eat at Dunkin Donuts.
ROOMS:
We arrived around midnight and check-in was very smooth and easy despite a chatty front desk woman. Our room was smoke-free and located on the first floor. The side door to the hotel is unlocked and doesn't require a key or open (I didn't like that!). So, the hotel wasn't too secure. Our room was greatly out-dated- older carpet, furniture, and bathroom. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find our king bed was very comfy. The A/C worked beautifully, but was VERY loud. It rattled on and off- just give it a quick kick. The bathroom has only the basic amenties of shampoo and soap.
OVERALL:
I would stay here again since they accept dogs, but only for a stopover and not an extended stay. We paid $109 which seems a bit high considering the fact it was a rundown hotel.
