Worst check-in that I have ever experienced. Krissy B. was rude and loud the entire time, beginning with her claims that I didn’t book my reservation through Travelocity. I had to walk to my car and get my laptop to SHOW her the reservation! At this point, she never even apologized, kept insisting she didn’t receive the fax from them, and changed her story about the reservation. She even said, if there is a problem (b/c we’d requested a non-smoking room), that she would send us to the Hyatt. This is the most unprofessional, condescending person I have ever encountered in the hospitality industry. Finally, she proceeded to blame all the troubles on Travelocity - I have been booking travel with them virtually since their inception, and I've never had any problems before! In the end, they even ended up charging my fiance and I twice - once on my card, and once on his card which we used at check-in, and now I have to dispute the duplicate charge. (I just discovered this, and I am livid.)
One more thing - since they only had smoking rooms, I asked to check it out first, so that if it smelled, we could switch to another before bringing our bags in. She offered to spray instead. I have asthma, and have never had any other hotel decline my request to check the room out first. The only positive aspect of our entire stay was the fact that the room actually ended up not really smelling badly.
Stay away from this specific Marriot Courtyard. I WISH someone had given me that advice before hand.
