I thought the hotel would be much dirtier. The hotel seemed clean enough for me.

I was fine with the bed and pillows. Better than other hotels I have stayed at.

I found that there was alot of noise seemingly from water running in other rooms. This was quite annoying.

They only give you 2 towels per room. They are not big towels at all. For two people, you better have brought your own. They only provided a smaller hand towel and some face clothes. These towels were not comfortable at all anyways, so once again I advise you to bring your own towels.

The shower itself had good water pressure but the temperature would flactuate rapidly and to extremes. I wanted out the shower very quick.

The location of the hotel is only ok. It is across the highway from downtown and a decent hike from the two Colleges. Downtown is walkable but the road to do it on is not great for walking. There is a Denny's sharing the same parkign lot and several other restaurants nearby that you can walk to if you don't mind walking on a fairly heavily traffic road.

What a nightmare, it was dirty like you would not believe. The rugs had vissible dirt on them. The bathroom had hair in the bathtub and sink. The bathroom floor was sticky. I was so disgusted I tried to get a rooom at the Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn but they were booked. I was forced to stay so I ran to walmart and bought sheets and pillows. I also bought a cheap pair of flip flops to take a shower, I refused to step on the floor with my bare feet.

Went for induction weekend at Cooperstown, so being this weekend gets sold out in the entire area, booked room last year.

Maybe they have cleaned up the rooms, ours was on the first floor and it was relatively clean and did not smell. The towels are terrible, yes, they are like sandpaper, that needs to be addressed. A/C was good, but due to a storm the free room internet access was not available, that was disappointing since I had my laptop with me. The front desk did not know what they were doing, not rude, but very unprofessional.

The cleaning staff were very nice, always a friendly hello and they did a good job on the room.

The breakfast was pretty awful, but the diner, which is next door, is a great place for any meal.

Would I choose to stay here under other circumstances? No, but it fit the bill for 2 nights.

THERE WAS SOME KIND OF ODER- PROBABLY FROM MILDEW.
When I complained I was told about the flood damage. I was given a deoderizer spray. I was there on a busy weekend and arrived late at night. If I had the option I would have gone elsewhere. I did get a break on the room charge.

I was not the only one to complain.
Perhaps redoing these rooms is in order
