My now-fiancee and I's stay at Ikies Traditional Houses was ABSOLUTE perfection! From the moment we landed at Ikies, we were treated like family and taken care of like I have experienced no where else in the world. We were greeted by Katerina when our taxi arrived at the hotel and our bags whisked away to our room while we got a quaint tour of the premises and eventually our "house." Katerina explained everything that one could ever imagine having a question about and made it very clear that no one request was too big. They truly know how to take care of their guests!

We stayed in the House of the Gardener, which is the hotel's smallest and quaintest room (and cheapest by a long shot!), but it was still wonderful. There was more than enough room for both of us to put our bags and spread out. The room doesn't really have it's own terrace, but it's still only steps away and not an issue at all. The room is also steps away from the pool, which was an added bonus, as we spent most of our time relaxing there! The bed (oh, the bed!) was heaven. Soft and snuggly and just perfect for a traditional Greek bed. However, I think the best part of the hotel HAS TO BE the breakfast that is served on each room's terrace EVERY morning! When you check in, you are asked to choose not only what time you wish to have breakfast but also what you would like. It's nothing fancy, simple fresh fruit, yougurt, cereal, pastries, coffee, espresso, etc., but it the most wonderful thing having a yummy Greek breakfast spread waiting for you every moring. Then the view you have while you are enjoying it makes it all the more wonderful. It doesn't get much better than that! Again, PERFECTION!

The staff was extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations (in ALL price ranges) and any excursions we wanted to plan. They set up dinner reservations, rental cars, taxis and anything else we needed. My fiancee actually proposed while we were on Santorini and at Ikies, and the staff conspired with him to set the scene. When we returned from dinner at 1800 Restaurant on our last night, they had set our little terrace a glow with candles. It was the perfect setting and perfect ending to a wonderful stay at an amazing hotel on a beautiful island.

I would highly recommend this little hotel for anyone coming to Santorini, and would like to hope that one day my fiancee and I will come back to celebrate an anniversary at the place we got engaged! My heart flutters just remembering our stay at this perfect place!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for five nites in June as part of our honeymoon...our stay was absolutely amazing and hotel exceeded our expectations....we stayed in the boatmans and artisans houses...the hotel is beautiful with each room having a different "theme" the view from the terraces is amazing and you can literally sit on your lounge chair the whole day and stare into the water below...the terrace jacuzzis were also a great feature...the breakfast at the hotel is truly amazing and it is served to you at your designated time every morning on your terrace...the staff was amazing and took the time to know each guest personally and by name...the sunset in oia is amazing and the hotel is for sure a great spot to view it,,,,book this hotel well in advance since the nicer rooms book quickly!!

We stayed at IKIES in October 2007 for our honeymoon. With 27 hours' flignt on the planes including the time waiting at the air port in Dubai and Athens, we finally arrived in Santorini. Besides, it was around 10 PM, we couldn't see anyhing in the dark on the way to IKIES. But our amazing stay in IKIES just has started by the two staff who warmly welcomed us at the parking lot. The room we booked was beauriful, comfortable and clean just like the pics on the web site. Next morning, we saw the magnificent view from our balcony while we were having fantastic breakfast.. we both said IKIES deserved to get "the best"
Now we are planning to have our 5th of our anniversary at IKIES =)

We stayed at Ikies in the Captain's House in early June for our honeymoon, it was the perfect place to be. The room was spectacular, the view to die for and the staff was amazing!
We just sat on our terrace all day sometimes and just drank wine and looked at the view, it was magical. The food at the hotel is very good as well and breakfast every morning was great too.
Ikies is located a short walk in to the town of Oia but we enjoyed it very much. Oia is breathtaking and Ikies was the perfect place to stay I can't wait to go back soon!
