I was looking for a special B&B surrounded by nature's fall colors, providing comfort and good food all in one. Diastole was it! The B&B is situated a good deal off the main road, on a mountain slope. Breathtaking panoramic views are filled with dramatic woods and Lake Otsego. Birds feeding just outside the panoramic dining room windows joined us for breakfast. We stayed in the Woodside Room, a very large room, newly decorated with lodge-type furniture and the atmosphere of a rustic mountain retreat. The hot tub on the lower deck was a bonus! Owners Brigette and Lou made us feel like we were just visiting relatives in the country. I highly recommend this B&B to others seeking the same and I myself would like to see what Spring, Summer and Winter look like at this lovely B&B.

From the views of the lake to the chocolate chip pancakes in the morning, Diastole was an absolute pleasure. A few minutes to the Hall of Fame, the bed and breakfast feels like home – if home was a rustic retreat. We stayed in the Garden Room and loved the private deck, and spent 90 minutes at breakfasts chatting with the fellow guests. We can’t wait to go back.

The Diastole Bed & Breakfast is by far the best B&B in the Cooperstown, NY area. It offers the comforts of home with the luxury of great services and amazing surroundings. The décor creates an atmosphere of total peace and relaxation.
We stayed in the Woodside Room and found it to be extremely comfortable and impeccably clean. The room has a large deck that is perfect for enjoying the breathtaking views of the lake. The private bathroom with the large tub with a window view and large glass shower was also a great luxury.
We found the outdoor hot tub to be a great place to unwind after a day of visiting the town, and to watch the sunset over the lake or the stars at night.
The tasty breakfasts in the dining room that overlooks the lake were a very nice treat.
The owners are friendly and very helpful in offering advice and suggestions for restaurants and activities in the area.
The Diastole B&B is located just a short drive away from the center of town and the Baseball Hall of Fame.
You will not be disappointed with your stay.

If you come to Diastole B&B, you must stay in the Woodside Room. You will feel like royalty. If you want fabulous sunsets, incredible view of Lake Otsego,a place minutes to the Baseball Hall of Fame, Glimmerglass Opera, Dreams Park and more; a great breakfast where you actually select your choices from a menu, an outdoor hot tub with a view to die for and gracious hosts, Brigitte & Lou Priem- then Diastole B&B is the place.

We had our family retreat here and we'll surely keep coming back.
