It may not be modern, but the Spot absolutely rules the roost.

They make all the bread and desserts right on premise. Try the Texas toast. The dessert showcase will make you want to skip the main meal! I prefer the Baklava (sp?) ... have them nuke it for a few seconds so it's warm! Perfect with a cup of coffee.

The menu has anything you might want on it. I have never had a bad meal and I have eaten there probably a hundred times on golf trips and just driving through.

My absolute favorite meal is the fried flounder ... they just simply nail it every time and you can't eat it all.

You know the food is good as all of the buses heading south to Atlantic City and NYC stop here and chow.

If you want fast go to McDonalds or the Asian buffet down the street. If you want eye candy and shiny red booths head over to Friendly's and eat that trash. If you want damn good food every single time at a reasonable price then eat at the Spot.

How anyone can give this place a postive rating is beyond me. It is a very large diner with dated and dirty fixtures from the 1950s probably. Old torn booths that are sort of red plastic on the seats or something like it. Lots of rooms with dark dirty carpet, brown, and big overdone light fictures like ones you see in movies of the Catskill resorts in the 50s. Do not order desert because those piled high chocolate cakes and cookies with tons of icing have been sitting there since who knows when. Lots of bus loads of people, truck drivers and people who want heaps of uumms for $5.00. Lots of older people and people who find fast food out of their price range.

Number One The Spot is open 24 hrs. They have nice waitresses and good food. Breakfast is the best and mozzeralla sticks!! I go there alot and always am happy with food.
