The Fairfield Inn was just average and the enxt time I went throught Binghamton I'd look for a different place to stay. I'm not sure if it was our room of what, but the noise from the highway was so loud that it was difficult to get to sleep. It was if we were sleeping on the highway itself the noise was so bad. Since the hotel is located right next to the highway, I'd find it hard to believe that our room was the only one that was noisy.
Other than the noise, the continental breakfast was ok -- waffles, muffins, yogurts, etc. The bed in the room wasn't great - it was just a box spring with one of those foam mattresses on top which is not what I expected from a Fairfield Inn. I expected to be sleeping on a real mattress with better pillows - these were a little uncomfortable.
For the money we spent, I'd expect better sleeping conditions since that was what were there for after all.
