“Loved the Scarborough Inn”

My boyfriend and I stayed in room 27. The Inn is beautiful, the web page really does a great job showing you exactly what you are getting. The room was ready for an early check in, which we didn't expect. The room was spacious and VERY clean. The bathroom was clean and everything you could need was provided. The walk to the beach was quick. Continental breakfast and afternoon snack was great. The staff went out of their way to accomodate every need. Location is great too, walking distance to many restaurants and the beach and boardwalk. I would return again!

Very nice and clean. I usually like to stay right on the beach so my only complaint is the walk to get to the beach. If you forget something (which I did) it's more of a hike to get back to the room. We stayed in the Florial room which is one bathroom and 2 rooms (one with double bed and one with twin beds). The rooms were clean and they weren't too small. We stayed two nights. Breakfast was from 8-9:30 and consisted of waffles, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, 2 types of cereals, juice, coffee, tea, a few small pastries and fruit. They had some small snacks in the afternoon around 4. Everyone, including the owners, at the front desk was very nice. Their website will provide you with plenty of pictures and room availability information.

The "Florial" is an excellent choice for families since it has two bedrooms connected by a bathroom. Those with children enjoy having private space for TV viewing or conversation while their children have their own attached room. Many guests appreciate the fact that the inn is only 1 1/2 blocks from the beach & boardwalk - a comfortable stroll away, and yet somewhat removed from the noise, lights, & activity of this popular attraction. They also enjoy complimentary beach tags (2-night stay & refundable deposit), and outdoor showers & dressing room for freshening up after the beach - even on the day of departure. We offer Continental-Plus Breakfast Buffet, Afternoon Refreshments with Sweets (homemade cake, cookies), Savories (cheese & crackers, veggies & dip, or fruit kabobs) with brewed ice tea or mulled cider depending on the season. Ice and Beverages are available all day in the Butler's Pantry and in the Sojourn Room.

This was the 4th time we stayed at the Scarborough. The owners and staff are always very accomidating and helpful. Every year they seem to add a few more features or make it even nicer. The inn has a lot of charm and character. The breakfasts are always delicious and there is a lot to choose from aside from the main dish. They also have afternoon tea and snacks as well. They offer very competitive prices and specials. It's always very clean and spotless. I have stayed at some places where you don't even want to walk on the floors without your shoes on and sleeping on the bed sheets would be out of the question! Those things never even cross your mind when your at the Scarborough. It's always so sad when it comes time to leave. I can't wait to go back again!

“Had a Great time!”

We just returned from a 3 night stay at the inn. The B&B is very well maintained and richly decorated. The wrap around porch is especially inviting to sit and rock or play games on some of the tables they have set up. Parking is off street and lit. there is a bike rack to lock up your bikes if you bring them. There is a lovely garden with seasonal flowers. We especially liked that it was quiet there and the kids that were with parents were well behaved. The Inn has a room where you can use a computer with internet access and a refrigerator and ice machine. They also have a library and a video/DVD library also. Each afternoon they had some lovely refreshments which included great snacks. The breakfasts were different each day and were a nice start. One day it was orange marmalade french toast and orange juice and also a minted melon cup. You get a free newspaper too. The owners Gus and Carol are nice, friendly and helpful. The walk to the beach very short and it is pretty close to the music pier on the boardwalk. Our room was the Balade. It had a King sized bed and a private bath that over looked the parking lot. It had AC. we had maid service each day. The room had a small tv but it really didn't matter to us because we aren't tv people but you could get the weather on the weather channel. They keep a binder of the local eateries with menus in it. they gave us some excellent reccomendations. They also have a list of things to do in case it rains. We will stay here again for sure. I would keep it nice and romantic and just couples go unless your kids are quiet and well behaved.

Gus and Carol are committed to providing a gracious, hospitable atmosphere in a charming, tastfully restored inn. The rooms are cozy, comfortable and spacious and an excellent value. During our numerous vacations the staff were always courteous and responsive to our needs. The breakfasts are a surprise and as delicious as they are creative. Book early, the word on the street is out! This is a family inn which truly reflects family values.
