“Terrible!!! Don't stay here if you want any sleep”

This hotel does not care about guest who are staying here. They have this Pool party on weekends that will blast music all the way until after 2:30am. I'm staying on the 11th floor already, and it is still so loud. Bacially, about 25% of the hotel room faces the pool side. You can be as high as 20th (talked to someone who stayed there) and it is still hella loud.

The rooms are also very old. My toilet seat is half broken. No wireless internet and no wire internet as well. My room was missing bunch of stuff.

“Not what I was hoping for....”

Took my sister there for her 60th B'day. Rooms were the same old decor that has been there for 20 years. Beds were hard and the sheets stopped 8 inches from the bottom of the mattress. That is ok if your 5 feet tall, but my feet kept getting tangled in the sheet. The gambling was a complete blood bath. Stayed there 5 days and never talked to anyone that had won anything. The only bright spot was the dinner at Charlie Palmer's. The food and service was first rate. Best I've ever had at a casino. Skip all the others and spend you money there. Staff was very friendly and had almost no wait at check-in. Will I go again? Probably not. I go to gamble (a lot) and have a good rest at night. I didn't get to do either of these things. Even with the room comp, the price was too high. Maybe if I had been able to cash in ONE ticket during 5 days I might have gone back.

“Real big room but no wireless internet”

I got a one bed room and the room is so big I was getting tired just walking back and forth across the room. Even though the room is big, it does not have a coffee table or couch or anything of that sort. Well at least there is a small frig. Because of the size of the room, everything is really spaced out and you almost get winded just going from the bathroom to the desk and to the frig and to the bed and whatever. Whenever you go from one part of the room to another part of the room it's a _major_trip_.
While I can understand why internet is extra charge (they want you to game downstair, not hide in your room and surf the web), there is no reason why it cannot be wireless. The network cable is not long enough so you cannot use your laptop in bed. That is a big minus.

“Worst experience ever, not a family hotel, checked out at midnight”

Grand Sierra Resort & Casino

We checked out at midnight it was so bad. Our room was on the 8th floor on the same side as Nikki Beach. The music was so loud at Nikki Beach we could hardly hear our TV without turning it way up. We eventually dozed off only to be woken up at midnight when Nikki Beach cranked up the volume even louder. The volume level in our room was almost as loud as I would ever turn on the radio. It was insane. And the entertainer was spewing obscenities which we had no choice but to hear because it was so loud that even earplugs would not block it. I told the front desk to either cancel my reservations and give me my money back, or find me another room. They chose to let us leave, which was fine with me since I don't believe they really value their customers. I never felt so disrespected by a hotel in my entire life. Among the reasons I was glad to leave are...

1. Almost one hour line to check in. Ridiculous!!
2. Parking is a long ways away from the building.
3. Room at end of longest hallway I've ever seen.
4. Handle on cold water in tub was strippedm could barely turn on the water.
5. The volume level already described.
6. The profanity (multiple f-words) spewing from the toilet mouth entertainer at Nikki Beach so loud that earplugs couldn't stop it.

Went down the street about 1/2 mile to TravelLodge and had a nicer room, peace and quiet and a good night's sleep.

“Don't eat the Lodge Buffet”

We went for the cheap $7.77 dinner buffet at the GSR. It was our first time going as locals. Being so cheap, the line was a mile long and we waited almost 45 min in a smoke filled casino. It was Friday so what do you expect. The food was ok but overall everything tasted dry from the fried chicken and turkey, all the way down to the powdery watermelon and dessert cakes. But the key lime pie was probably their best dessert. Overall the food was ok with free waters, soft drinks, coffee. I didn't care for the beer breathed dudes in line behind us, dressed only in tank tops, baggy shorts and flip flops. Lots of scroungy locals in line who dressed like crap - at least try to make an effort to dress decent going to a restaurant! But these are the types of people you'll get for the $7. FYI: You have to get the players card to get the $7. It's free at the players club line. Lots of older folks who dined there and of course they dress appropriately. Nice to see that. Would I go again? No.
