“Ok, not so great”

Circus Circus Hotel and Casino-Reno

One of the reasons I booked was to get easy access to all 3 casinos at one go.
But found it to be too pricey and really not worth the money. We paid $150 for the room.
Pros-
Clean rooms
had a nice view from 23rd floor
had an iron and iron board
Cons-
Too Pricey
TV had lots of features etc - but all were paid services
Expected at least free internet - that too was to be paid
A dirty coffee maker pot
No proper closets
Had just one complimentary coffee packet with two small sachets of sugar, one for each-any extra packs -$1 each
Called up for room service for breakfast - operator kept me waiting, hung up and I called again-they said it will take 45 mins to get the food to the room- pathetic
My 3 start hotel stay at Tahoe was better-at least they had Microwave,a small refrigerator and HBO on TV.
The least one can expect is some premium channels to watch.

Would rather recommend stay in some decent 3 start hotel and drive down to this casino to enjoy the casino experience.

“Couldn't beat the price but....”

When looking for a place to stay in the Reno Circus Circus was the affordable venue. It had a little nostalgia going for it as well as I had been there when I was a little guy. The rates were $49 & $39 for the two nights. Bit disappointed that they charge you for Internet access. The staff was a little preoccupied which was surprising as we were there in the off-season. The room was nicely appointed and I appreciated that they kept certain floors non-smoking. The midway was fun even if you don’t have kids. Food was okay at best and the once again the servers seemed like they had better things to do.

For the price and that alone I would consider staying again.

“Perfect for our needs”

Our volleyball team stayed here for three nights while playing in a big tournament. I can't speak for the gambling, drinking or other adult opportunities at this hotel since we were chaperoning kids. It was perfect for our needs--reasonably priced, clean. amd lots of convenient free parking. The rooms were adequate for four people, and the bathrooms were very large. Staff was friendly and helpful. We paid extra for a small refrigerator in the room, which was worth every penny. We ate at the buffet, which was much better than expected. We also ate at Bonici Bros. and Kokopeli Sushi--the two restaurants are contained within the same space. Italian and sushi sound like a strange combination, but 11 finicky girls and 3 tired chaperones were able to eat together and everyone found something they liked. Naturally, the place is overflowing with kids. The arcade was jam-packed on Friday and Saturday night, but everyone had fun despite the sardine-can atmosphere. I probably wouldn't stay here on an adult vacation, but it is great for families.

“Circus Circus - so [--] they named it twice.”

Circus Circus can only be described as a budget level hotel. However, it IS loved by certain red necked, betache'd members of the American population of all ages and sizes - as a result the beds are family sized and very sturdy for all kinds of inter relation relations.

The in house television commercials will scare the living bejebus out of you as will a breakfast at the Circus Cafe. However, the solitary Steak restaurant has been consistently rated as THE best steak restaurant in Circus Circus and has 3 Pirelli Stars.

This is one hotel where having a disability and more importantly a wheelchair, gives you a distinct advantage over walkers, as taking more than three steps on the hotel carpets charges you up like a cattle prod. This means touching or merely standing in close proximity of a lift button, door handle or slot machine sends a bolt of electricity through your body reminiscent of the Emperor in Return of the Jedi

Overall a fun stay, but the croupiers were surly at best, check in staff as dim as the hotel lighting and, if you must milk the clowns, please don’t do it near the buffet.

“Fun in Reno @ the Circus Circus”

Circus Circus Hotel and Casino-Reno

My family of 3 stayed at the Circus Circus while we visited Family in the Reno area. We booked directly with the hotel and were able to get a rate of $75 (1 night) and $79 (3 nights) for a Mini Suite. The room was large and comfortable. There was a king bed in the main bedroom and a queen sleeper in the living area. The suite had air controllers in each room. There was a wing chair, table, armoire with a tv, bed and 2 night stands in the bedroom. The living area had 2 wing chairs with a table, 2 sitting chairs with a table, a coffee table, side table, armoire with a larger tv, queen sleeper sofa and refrigerator. The bath is huge with a single sink, commode, tub/shower, hair dryer and coffee maker. The room was a corner room and hand a window the faced east in the main bedroom and North in the living area.

Check in was very quick and easy. Valet was quick most of the time, but they did get busy. I can't way enough good words about the maid service, it was very good!

The midway was packed on the the first night we were there, Sunday, but the rest of the week it was a nice size crowd with mostly younger children. The games were $1 - $2 dollars, but when we checked in we got a book with many 2 for 1 midway coupons. My daughter came home with a bag full of stuffed animals.

The food at the Americana Cafe was passable at best. We only ate there 1 time. The pizza and wings at Bonici Brothers was good. The Main Street Deli smelled off to us and the ice cream was expensive. We started going to the Cafe Sedona at the Silver Legacy, it was much better and the selection was terrific.

We would have no problem staying here again, but would probably stay at the Silver Legacy next time.
