As always, I try to be fair in my commentary and provide the proverbial good, bad and the ugly.
ROOM: Stayed in room 215, a King Bed Suite. The room was clean and comfortable. The room offered a separate vanity and bathroom. In the front room, it had a coffee-type bar with a microwave and coffee maker. Free internet was great. BAD: very stark room. It appeared as if every room, suite or double, was allocated the same funds to decorate. Also, because it was near the elevator (literally on the back side) it was very noisy most of the night. Price paid $149.00 plus tax.
SERVICE: Could not have been nicer. The front desk staff was accomodating and very pleasant. Whoever leads their training should be very proud. One night clerk, when we returned from some evening meetings, was surprised to see us come through the back door. There was no parking in the front and temps were in the 30s. Rather than walk around, we walked through the back. He insisted we couldn't do that and the gates and doors should have been locked. Needless to say, I wasn't walking back outside.
LOCATION: The hotel is next to a shopping mall with a Starbucks within steps from the front enterance. Lots of dining options within one mile in either direction. Only problem, the street it was on was crowded with traffic constantly. We rarely didn't have significant waits to get into downtown.
Hope it helps. I will definitely stay their again, but in a normal non-suite room.
