There are different room types and different pricing levels for this hotel. I am thinking perhaps some of the negative reviews must have been for the cheapest rooms, because our room was absolutely fine. I paid $68 for a room in the Dolphin Tower (got the rate on the hotel website) and the room (as you can see in these photos) was perfectly fine, big, comfortable, clean, and even had a nice view of downtown Reno. We stayed two Tuesdays in a row (traveled in between) and had no problems at all with check in. Nice staff and short lines. We had rooms 912 and 1112. We also ate in the Parrott cafe and it was very good, what you would expect for a cafe in a casino, and no one got deadly food posioning or any such thing. The casino is smoky, but they do have an area upstairs that is non-smoking and it's pretty neat as well, it's like a bridge with windows on both sides so you can see outside when you are playing. All bartenders and employees were nice & friendly. We would stay here again in a hearbeat and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Sorry others had bad experiences, but we have no complaints.
