I got married in Vegas on April 16, 2006. We had our wedding reception in a private dining room at Austin's steakhouse. It was a beautiful room with comfortable seats, excellent service, and great food. Austin's was extremely attentive, their dessert chef made our wedding cake and even stencilled our wedding symbols on the side of our cake. I cant say as to its quality since April 2006 but my small wedding of 20 people had a fabulous evening at Austin's steakhouse. We still talk about it 2 years later.

Whatever happened to the old Austin's?! We miss Bart and all the awesome hostesses... Bring back the old chefs or find some new ones!

Please please spend your money on a steak dinner elsewhere. The service was such a dissappoint starting with the hostess who allowed us to wait 20 mins past our reservation time until I went up to her and asked her the status of our 8pm reservation at 820 pm. I looked into the dining area and it was EMPTY! We should have left then!!! But we sat anyway and asked for the manager. It took the manager 20 mins to come to our table. When he did finally arrive, he was disinterested and unhelpful. He said he would bring my mother a glass of wine and never returned with it!!! We should have left then. My family and I thought lets just order some appertizers and enjoy a dinner together. Johnny our server came by and got our order for appertizers, entrees and drinks. All was well until we finished our apps and we noticed we have been waiting 40 mins for our food. When the food finally arrived and they placed our plates in front us, we noticed a few items missing including our sauces for our steaks. The person who delivered our food who was not our server Johnny looked at me like I said something foreign when i asked, "excuse me but where are our sauces?''. Johnny still no where to be seen never came by the table to investigate why we did not get our complete order. And the dining area was still EMPTY. I could understand them if they were so very busy but they weren't . We asked for the manager who again never appeared after sometime. We decided then to leave and just pay for our appertizers. I am sorry but if I am going to go into a place and spend over $200 dollars I would like good service to go with it.

Based on extensive research, we shared Austin’s chopped salad, a rib-eye and baked potato. Excluding service and the bread basket, this meal was a disappointment all around. I just don’t get this chopped salad thing – is it for people without than own choppers? This salad had very little taste and was visually unappealing. The rib-eye was cooked medium rare as requested but was tough. Last and by all means not least in Ms. Westie’s opinion, the huge Idaho potato was undercooked. We did learn, belatedly, the head chef takes seafood seriously and only serves fish that is environmentally friendly and renewable so should we return it will not be for the beef.
