“Terrible food!”

We had an hour to kill before our show at New York New York. We decided to eat at Diablo because it looked like a fun lively atmosphere and it was packed.

When we arrived we were seated sooner than we expected because it was so crowded. We were excited about the place because we had patio seating overlooking the strip.

The first thing we noticed was our waitress. She was a little on the trashy looking side. She came to get our order right away. When we didn't know what we wanted she disappeared for literally about 10 minutes.

I ordered one of their specialty margaritas made with raspberry vodka. It was $14.00 and tasted like cough medicine. My fiancé ordered the pina colada which came in a cheap plastic cup. It tasted like a cheap pina colada mix. Horrible. That was $13.00.

I ordered the guacamole and it was awful. I have had better from the taco stands around town. It looked like it came from a large vat made hours before it was served. It was creamy and bland. Not to mention they present it in a cast iron bowl but on the bottom it is filled with chips to make the portion look bigger.

After being disappointed in the guacamole I didn't want to order anymore food. My fiancé ordered the chicken fajitas. They were on the par of getting them through a place like Friday's or Chili’s (somewhere who isn't known for them but serves them.)

At the end of the night we spent about $75.00 on crap. I would never recommend eating there. The atmosphere was loud and looked like fun but it was just a bunch of people getting hosed on watered down drinks and terrible "bar food".

This restaurant is owned by the Light Group. They have some really great places. Shockingly this doesn't reflect the great reputation they have.

“Smoking HOT!”

My husband and I ate a late lunch here in February. I had found this restaurant online and was looking forward to visiting it as we love great bbq. We split an order of chicken wings (medium), they were so hot and so good! I had pulled pork that was amazing and I don't remember what my husband ate. The food was fantastic It is my new favorite bbq place - it even beats Dinosaur BBQ in Rochester, NY. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks, service and food. We even received a thank you card in the mail from our server when we got home. They were doing surveys to make sure they were running smoothly after the fire at the Monte Carlo and our address was on the survey. It was a nice touch as Del Frisco's is the only other restaurant we frequent that sends thank you cards.

This is a happening place on the strip. Like a lot of places in Vegas, they cater to the male clientele, but women shouldn’t be deterred from hanging out there. You can sit indoors or on the porch and watch the world pass by. If you like spicy food, this is the place. I wouldn’t say the menu is the typical Tex/Mex that we’re all used to, but definitely eclectic to say the least. I will say that it seems a bit odd to be matched up with the Monte Carlo considering the whole European theme and what not.

“Amazing food, great service.”

I don't know if it was the time of day, but I've never had quicker or more attentive service at a typical restaraunt.

The drinks were nothing special, I had their signature cocktail but would not reccomend it. My wife enjoyed her pink watermelon one.

The only downside is that the music was too loud, and it felt like I was yelling to talk to my wife sitting beside me.

It would be a stretch to call any of the dishes mexican, but each dish we tried was well thought out with great flavour. There was also a hint of spicyness in each item that we really enjoyed. Of the dishes we tried, I _strongly_ reccomend the chicken taco salad. It was one of the best meals we had in Vegas.

“Went twice in one day!”

Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of dining at Diablo’s Cantina not once, but twice in one day!

The first trip, I made a last-minute late lunch reservation for 20 people and was pleasantly surprised that they could accommodate us. While they initially told me that the group had to be broken up into two tables of ten, we were happy to find that they’d managed bend the rules and seat us all together. The staff was incredibly friendly; from the hostess, to the bartender/tequila expert, and our uber-cool waiter Carlos.

The menu is perfect for anyone with an affinity for Mexican cuisine and margaritas. Furthermore, tequila aficionados will not be disappointed by the massive selection of blancos, resposados, and anejos. The only gripes to be heard at our table were that the serving sizes were too immense and that the Diablo Signature XXX Death Wings simply weren’t hot enough.

Later that evening, I brought over an impromptu group of about a dozen people which over the course of two hours grew into a group of 40+ people. This time we took over the better half of the bar area and primarily enjoyed appetizers, drinks, and “flights” (three shot samplers) of tequila. The staff at Diablo’s again handled our group gracefully and even kept the bar open longer just for us. Despite the chaos we brought, the extremely lovely Tracy took fantastic care of our group single-handedly and always had a beautiful smile on her face.

Great food, great drinks, and great service!
