The 5 star rating is for the food. Nobu offers the most amazing sushi I have ever experienced. That will be the only reason I will go back. The service staff is another story. It is a requirement that since they are dressed in black, they have to act like they are on the way to a funeral?. I don't think I saw a smile cracked by anyone. We had reservations but were told ahead of time that we would be required to give up our table at a certain time. What if we weren't finished with our dinner? Unfortunately the doctor we were meeting with was late but, thankfully the hostess did offer to move us to the sushi bar. Not the easiest place to have a business meeting but sitting in front of the sushi chefs was mesmerizing. This isn't the kind of place you go for a crunchy shrimp roll. I would recommend the sea bass and miso lettuce wraps. I'm not even sure if that was on the menu but we had them. Don't walk into Nobu expecting warm and fuzzy service. Go for the food and get out.
