I was at Ritz Carlton for 4 days in Oct 2007. It is the most confortable & beautiful hotel. The superior room are huge & comfortable. The attached toilet was very impressing. Bathtub, shower room, glass sink.
The surrounding area was wonderful. It is very peaceful & give you a very relaxing feeling.
There are is mini casino nearby & the crowd in small. Unlike the the big time game along the strips.
The taxi fare would be about USD60 from the Airport to the Hotel.
I would strongly recommended this place for honeymoon lovers.
But would not recommend for family with kids.

“Wonderful Hotel... Away from the strip and the bright lights of Vegas”

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Las Vegas

This hotel is just wonderful, although it looked strangely like the Four Seasons that is situated in Mandalay Bay.
The staff was gracious and we had a great room with view of the small lake. I loved the spa area and the pool was heavenly... and available 24 hours a day!

The only problem we encountered was when we were leaving, we noticed that the hotel had charged us for breakfast when we had booked the bed and breakfast package. I was surprised that a hotel like the Ritz Carlton would make such a mistake, but everything seems to be okay.

We will definitely return and judging from the other reviews, we will most likely stay in the Club level. It would be nice to just stay at the hotel and not have to drive back and forth to get to the strip (although I personally recommend renting a car in Vegas anyway).

The thing we love about this hotel is that there is no casino inside; perfect for us, since we don't gamble and hate casinos anyway. However, if you must get your gambling "fix" there is a casino in the adjacent hotel. I must admit, it's a nice one with a motif that resembles a winery, complete with wine barrels. It's surprisingly large and when we were there, almost empty.

    • Liked — Free from casino action
    • Disliked — A little far from the strip but nice if you want to be completely secluded

“Not All Ritz's the Same”

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Las Vegas

Port Charlotte, FL

After having a problem using the e mail service for dinner reservations, transportation from airport and flowers for my wife's special birthday we cancelled out and we called corp. and someone in mgt. called us from hotel and apologized...wanted to make it up to us. We rebooked on the Club Floor for 8 nights. The Club Floor was worth every penny and the help was wonderful. My wife took sick and several of the men made her an "IV" which got her back on her feet. The menu was the same every day. Wonderful hospitality on this floor. They were the only folks who remembered my wife's birthday...nothing from the hotel itself after key mgt. getting involved in rebooking us.

For the $25. resort fee every day the help in the fitness center was uncaring and the steam room was not working - no reason or when it would be fixed. Employees did not care. The conventioneers took over the pool spilling drinks in pool and throwing balls and hitting folks in lounge chairs. Life guards made no attempt to stop this behavior.

No visible management in the 8 days we were there. Beer bottles, glasses left in courtyard for 3 or 4 days with no one picking them up.

The village is disappointing. While there the music concerts of locals held on theThurs., Fri. & Sat in the public park adjacent to the Ritz went on to 1:30AM in the morning. When we mentioned it to the head gal on the Club Floor, she said they had problems with this music and it should have been over by 10PM. The restaurants are fair at best in the Village with major attitudes of the staff- due to economy many stores are out of business. The Monte Lago Casino is bush league but if you want a little enjoyment early before smokers get there, it's fine.

The Ritz has a car to take folks into Strip at 5 and 8 PM without charge but you get yourself back to hotel. We used a limo service several times - church, getting back to hotel, from/to airport - at $70. a trip.

Three years ago before Wilma we were at the Ritz Cancun hotel and unless something has changed, no Ritz we have visited can compare to Cancun's Ritz. They couldn't do enough for us and compensated us royally for a few mistakes made.

The Ritz in Lake Las Vegas never went the extra mile and we crossed the country to experience the Ritz quality and this hotel doesn't have it.

“A tryly wonderful 35th anniversary”

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Las Vegas

5 of 5 stars
Laguna Niguel, California
Jun 21, 2008

We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton the weekend of June 6-8,2008. We were celebrating our 35th anniversary and the hotel really made it special for us. We stayed on the club level which I will always do from now on. The food served there was magnificent and so plentiful. Wine and Prosecco flowed freely. We only had to go out for dinner , and at that , only ordered a main course as we had enough wine in the Club Lounge before dinner and went back to the Club Lounge for some wonderful desserts and after dinner drinks . I also cannot say enough about the staff. They really take care of you. On Saturday night , one of the staff in the Club Lounge brought us a beautiful box of artisan chocolates and those huge dipping strawberries with some extra desserts to celebrate. We also loved that it was away from the Strip. If you want the craziness of Las Vegas , you can easily go there for a few hours and then return to the wonderful quiet of this fabulous hotel.

“exceptional”

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Las Vegas

Jun 14, 2008

We stayed at the Ritz June 1st to June 8th. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary. We have never experienced such incredible service before. We have stayed in really nice hotels before with club level but the service at the Ritz made it very hard to leave. Our club level room wasn't ready when we arrived so they escorted us to the club lounge where I enjoyed a glass of wine and my husband a beer. About an hour later or few glasses of wine we were shown to our room. A beautiful exexcutive suite with a balcony that overlooked Lake Las Vegas. It's was better than the pictures. Very beautiful lake but there is still some development to be done. About 10 mins after we arrived they delivered a card wishing us a happy anniversary. Although we did have a few concerns with stains on the sofa and the filtre in the air conditioner was in need of change, they were taken care of within the first hour we arrived at our room. The four presentations in the club lounge were very delicious. Mostly cold dishes but of high quality that included smoked salmon, shrimp, cheeses, olives, vegies, small sandwiches and soup at lunch. The last presentation of the day was strawberries with chocolate or vanilla or caramel sauce.(wow) and small shot glasses with with chocolate mousse.(that was heaven). They always had giant cookies in jars you could have anytime. Wine and champagne from lunch on and other drinks after 5pm.(like shots of Tequila) The staff in the club lounge were wonderful. They were always happy and very friendly with us. When I think of our trip to the Ritz, they come to my mind first. One of the staff(I wish I could remember her name) made us a lunch for our trip home. Our flight ended up being cancelled and we were delayed and had to stay a night in Vegas. She put sooo many cookies in the lunch, we were eating cookies on the plane on the way home. The service you get when you book a room on the club level is amazing. Housekeeping was great and always did a good job. Two nights of turn down service was missed but that wasn't a problem for us. The pool was wonderful and open 24 hours. We did use the spa which was great. The attendants were always friendly. The workout area has top of the line equipment. Water infused with lemon, strawberries and oranges are in the spa are as well as organic teas. I did have a spa treatment. It was the Mesquite Tree Cocoon body treatment. Although very nice and relaxing it was very expensive. The spa has bikes to use for free for an hour at a time which we used. The village next door is small but fun to walk through. They had live entertainment on the weekend. The casino was nice if you enjoy a more quiet experience. The grounds at the hotel are very beautiful and well cared for. We rented a car so going to Vegas was a 30 minuite trip. If you're like us and enjoy the experience of Vegas but also need to leave it behind to relax then this is a perfect combination. I will definately go back to the Ritz in Lake Las Vegas but would go back next week if I could.
