“Convenient, Friendly Base for Vegas Area Adventures”

Hampton Inn Henderson

Las Vegas, Nevada

Everyone at the Hampton Inn Henderson from front desk staff to housekeeping and grounds keeping were extremely friendly. The free breakfast was awesome, and the outdoor pool and hot tub were a great place to relax in the evening. The beds were comfortable and the room clean and welcoming.

We stayed for 2 nights and wanted to come back by at the end of our visit but they were booked full. A great place to base a Vegas area trip, especially if you are visiting spots outside the city proper- but not a bad commute into the Strip either.

We stayed in Henderson while settling in to our week-long visit to the area and used it as our base for visits to Valley of Fire State Park (I highly recommend it) and Boulder City (avoid Mondays and later evenings, everything closes around 5:30pm, and many shops are closed on Mondays) and Ethel M's Cactus Garden (great intro to southwestern plant life) before heading off for 3 nights in Death Valley.

The area around the hotel is a bit traffic-y, but certainly manageable. It's a high volume area because it contains every big box store and chain known to man. If you forget anything, there is a drug store, camera store and even a Walmart within a 2 block radius. Great area to stock up on food and/or supplies.

There are also many quality restaurant chains in the area, we went to Macaroni Grill and Joe's Crab Shack for dinner, both were delicious and great for families as well. We also hit a Panera right around the corner from the Hampton Inn for lunch.

Not the most adventurous travel dining, but the chains suited our needs as tired, hungry travelers - they provided reliable, quality food at good prices.

Nice location with plenty of eating places near by. Within walking distance of the Sunset Casino. Hotel would not cash any travelers checks and our room keys were cancelled on Sunday when we didn't check out until Monday. Clean hotel and rooms.

“Great value, friendly service”

This is by far the friendliest hotel i've ever stayed at! My husband, and daughter (9 years old) and I stayed for a week. Stephanie, Geraldine, and Whitney at the front desk made us feel right at home. We enjoyed fresh baked cookies and chilled milk in the evenings- complimentary by the hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The pool exceeded my expectations - great lounge chairs, and a barbeque on Wednesday nights however it was shut down for a few days so I called the front desk and they arranged for my family to use the pool at Sunset Station (right next store) . I would definately recommend this hotel and stay here again and again.

“Had a great one night stay”

Stayed here on a Friday night when I could not find a reasonable rate on a Las Vegas hotel. This small hotel was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The people at the front desk were extrememly friendly and helpful. It was nice to be treated in such a friendly manner. We needed directions and the people at the desk took us to a computer room for guests where we accessed the web. The rate included a free breakfast which was fine and saved us some money. We enjoyed the heated pool which was opened 24 hours. There was also a small gym in this hotel. Right next door there is a large casino, Sunset Station. It is right behind the Hampton Inn. We walked there. Sunset Station was very crowded and smokey, we played the slot machines for a while and had a nice dinner there. Lots of restaurants and store are within walking distance of this hotel. I would definitely stay here again, if the rates in Vegas were too high.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Henderson, NV in April 2006, for two nights. The Inn is quiet and comfortable with an excellent breakfast included. There are a lot of other restaurants and other businesses near, but the Inn has plenty of parking. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. There is no gambling rooom in this Inn. There is a large Casino about five minutes walk away. While we stayed at the Inn it was convenient to visit Hoover Dam, the Red Rock Canyon, and the Las Vegas Strip (which in my opinion should be called "the Crap"). We paid $79 a night for a King bed and sort of a partial suite. We got our money's worth and more.
