We were traveling from Colorado to the Oregon and Washington coasts and just needed a place to sleep - we picked this motel based on reviews here on Trip Advisor, booking our room well in advance through Rodeway's Internet reservation site.
Although our reservations did get messed up, the management was very nice. We had requested a king bed and he had none available - we had two queens instead which was perfectly fine.
The rooms are small - but if you're just traveling through Elko and need a clean, quiet place to sleep this is more than adequate considering the price. (53.99 for a Saturday night -September 2007)
The brick building is older (which we believe added to the quietness), but the carpeting looked really new as did the bedding and the beds. Comfortable beds is a priority for us in a motel room - these are not the luxury beds you find in more upscale motels, but they were great and we felt refreshed when we woke up the next morning.
The bathroom was very dated, but everything worked and was spotless. We prefer bathrooms with the vanity/sink area separate from the toilet and bathtub, this was all in the same room. There was not an exhaust fan, but a window that you could open. One concern was the window did not have a lock and is fairly large, but we felt safe regardless.
The continental breakfast was very limited - they served mini blueberry muffins (which were pretty good), bananas and juice and coffee/tea.
If we ever have the occassion to need a room (for one night - if it was longer I'd want a bigger room) in Elko we would stay here again.
