Hampton Inn's are a relatively safe bet, right? Not so with this one. Bathroom was disapointing - fixtures were old and worn. The problems started with my air conditioning unit - it blew up at 3am. Night staff was unsympathetic and didn't offer any solutions. Sweated thru the night with nasty fumes in the air. This property has rodent and pest issues - the final morning of my stay, a mouse dragged a glue trap across the room that contained remnants of roach parts all over it. Again, when night staff (same person from the night before) was summoned to take care of the problem - there was no action. I had to call the front desk multiple times until the day staff came on duty and removed the dying mouse from my room. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Comfort Inn and Suites.

Positives:
1. Our cost per night was inexpensive ($69)
2. The self-serve breakfast was better than most
3. Beds were adequately comfortable
4. The room was an adequate size
5. The hotel seemed relatively new (Dec 2004)

Negatives:
1. Furnishings in the room were very plain (stark?) compared to other Hampton Inns
2. The construction crew that finished-out the room we were assigned were a bit sloppy

Overall: Okay if the stay is short and the price is low
