I've stayed in the hotel now several times this year, and was pleasantly surprised to find what must be the best value in the area ...

I recently stayed at the Wyndham in Billerica and was pleasantly surprised. I never stayed at a Wyndham, but from now on it will be my first choice of places to stay if available when I travel.

Check in was easy and the woman at the desk was very friendly. The hotel is very nice and my room was clean and very comfortable. There was wireless internet at no charge.

If you sign up for Wyndham's preferred guest program you can choose a complimentary beverage and snack in your room. When I came back from dinner that night, there was wine and cheese waiting for me in my room. What a nice treat!

My experience at the Wyndham was excellent. I will stay here again and I recommend it to anyone.

Well in response to the last review I offer the following observations and my own review of my recent stay.

"Maybe it was just me, but I didn't like this place - here are some reasons why:

1. Internet was not free (I paid 9.95/night); "

Like most of the hotel chains that I have encountered, join the free presidential club, or hotel loyalty club and internet access becomes complimentary.

"2. I had problems with the shower - I seemed to be unable to rinse soap off; this may be a "hard water" problem; "

I attributed this to the Borage Oil Body wash which was supplied. I thought about complaining about this myself, but figured that was the way it was suppose to feel.

"3. coffee was unavailable unless you went to the hotel resturaunt and ordered a cup (or brewed it in your room with the in-room coffee maker); "

Sorry can't help you here.. Coffee maker in the room proved adequate for us.

"4. The only way to get up and down to the lobby was via the elevators.. the stairway alternative was very "utility" and led only to the outside. That's all for now; your experience may be better (I hope!)"

Not sure why this is a probem, I didn't even notice as the elevators seemed very adequate.



Well here's my review.

I have heard that some think the beds are to soft. I stayed at this hotel over 6 years ago for a one night and still remember it as one of the most comfortable sleeps I have ever had on the road (and at home for that matter). The beds this time weren't quite as soft as I remember, but still very comfortable.

This is a nice quiet and clean hotel. Breakfast buffett was adequate and seemed pretty well stocked despite the sudden crowd that had appeared in the dining room. Omlettes and waffles were being made on demand. The one waitress was a character and made instant friends with my 5 year old daughter.

This hotel isn't the most convenient for business in Boston (30 mins from downtown or Logan), but where it is very conveniently located and has very quick access right off Rt 3 (a divided highway itself) just a few miles from I-495 or I-95 which makes it very convenient place to stay if you are traveling through eastern mass.
