I visit my son at ISU regularly and have stayed at a few different hotels in Bloomington-Normal. This hotel is definitely the best hotel in the area for the price and it is easily the closest to campus.

The hotel is very clean and nice looking, it does look a bit dated from the outside. If you don't know where it is, it's a bit confusing to get to. Parking in the front of the building was limited, we weren't sure how to find the parking lot in the back. the beds were decent, some of our group thought they were too hard. The walls are very thin we could hear our neighbors running the sink and going to the bathroom at all times of the day. There was also a lot of loud noises in the morning on Sunday when we woke up, the front desk could not identify what it could have been. You could hear the people walking down the hall way all day as well. The continental breakfast came with a lot of food, and was refreshed regularly.

This was the only Motel that we had pre-booked before leaving England and it was the only one that we could not smoke in. Our room was apparantley faulty so we had to have a non- smoking room.They gave us a discount for the inconvenience.

Other than that the check in was quick the staff pleasant and efficient

We found this hotel to be a great value for the money. The rooms were very clean, the staff friendly, the breakfast adequate, etc. It was also in a nice neighborhood. We brought our Bichon along, and the hotel was very pet friendly. This is a great place to stay if you aren't wanting to spend a lot of money. The only thing that would have made it more convenient for us is if it were closer to the strip of business and restaurants on Veterans Parkway.
