I advise buyer beware when considering this hotel. The
rooms are very small, poorly furnished, and without
adequate lighting. Most rooms have no natural light.
Security is not adequate and do not meet minimal
standards. I love Chicago, and have stayed at much nicer 3 star
hotels for the same price. Chatting with others in the elevator only confirmed this is a general impression. I spent very little time in the hotel, and will never stay there again.

Just got back from Chicago and our stay at the Comfort Inn. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. We did think the room could have had better lighting. We didn't have any view at all, one window faced the parking garage and the other was the inside wall of the hotel. This didn't matter because we weren't there to look out the windows!! As mentioned, the parking garage is right next door. It was $25 a day and you could come and go as needed. We loved the location! It was close to the red line and Michigan ave. and several bus stops. Also, there were several great places to eat close by-Weber Grill, P.F. Changs,ESPN, California Pizza Kitchen, and Pizza places. I did read a review that mentioned not enough seating in the breakfast area. I will agree with that. Most of the time it was pretty full, but they opened up a conference room and we sat in there.
We will definitely stay here again!

My husband and I had a week in Chicago at the end of April. We stayed at the Comfort Inn. From the very start, the service we received from all the staff was very good. The reception staff were very helpful and professional. About half an hour after we got to the room, reception rang to check everything was OK (which it was).

We had requested a quiet room and this was sorted out for us. It had a dual aspect (although there was only a car park and the inner part of the hotel to look at), so this meant it was quite dark. However, the room was very large and comfortable.

The breakfast was of a good standard. However, within the breakfast room, there really needed to be more tables and chairs, rather than sofas. There is a conference room next to the breakfast room, which you can use if there isn't a conference taking place. When we used the conference room, we got to talk to other guests.

Chicago is a lovely town - very walkable. The Chicagoans were very friendly. I can recommend a baseball game at either the White Sox or the Cubs. The weather was quite variable - one day it was 80°F/26°C, the next 55°F/12°C.

I can also recommend the Historic Skyscraper Architectural Walking Tour and dinner on the 96th floor of the John Hancock Centre.

I will definitely return to Chicago and will stay at the Comfort Inn again.

Very clean. The hotel staff was excellent. Excellent cont. breakfast. Location is perfect. Bus and subway stops at the corner. Great for walking to many locations. Several restaraunts very, very close. Michigan Ave, only 2 or 3 blocks. The only problem with this hotel, if you don't get a suite, the rooms are TINY. But they are the cleanest rooms this side of Las Vegas.
I would definately stay here again.
