“Laid Back, Relaxed, Fun...Fantastic”

Hard Rock Hotel

We've stayed here twice now, both times were fantastic. *Everyone* that works here enjoys what they do, and it shows! From the front desk staff, to the housekeeping staff, Wait Staff in the restaurants, to the pool staff, *all* were genuinely friendly, interested in making sure our stay was the best possible by providing outstanding service and tips about the park, hotels, local information and following up with us afterwards after checking their tips out.

Both times we received complimentary CD's at check-in. The rooms were up-to-date, modern, the beds comfortable, and very clean as well as spacious. After noticing an errant room charge to the mini bar in the room (we had no key to it), they promptly removed the charge.

The pool with the underwater speakers, live bands, water slide and perfect mix of music playing everywhere was great! We were a short walk from both Universal, City Walk, and IOA or we could aways take the water taxi.

Their memorabilia collection is extensive. We stayed on an upper floor both times and will definitely be back. If you have a Universal Preferred Pass you also qualify for discounts on the rooms. Check ahead as rooms often sell out ahead of time. Special Events and Concerts are hosted throughout the year, check their calendar.

Even my 70-year old father loved it as well as my 16-year old niece, my girlfriends' 15-, 16-, and my 21-year old nephew - tough crowd to get to agree on anything! You're *never* too old or young for that matter, to enjoy Hard Rock Orlando.

This is everything you expect and more - they certainly raise the bar and expectations for everyone else - a good thing I believe. You can't go wrong.

“3 day/ 2 night Spring Break”

Hard Rock Hotel

My family of four stayed here at the end of our Spring Break. The first part of the trip was spent at the Disney Swan. Because it was my birthday weekend, I splurged and booked a Club 7 room. Paying around $425/night. We loved the resort. It is beautiful. The grounds are great and the pool is really spectacular. We were very happy that we booked an onsite hotel and found the perk of express passes for the parks made it really worth the money. We had a great room, very clean and spacious. Will we go back to the Hard Rock? Definitely! Not sure if we will do the Club 7 though. We enjoyed the breakfast but due to the parks only being open until 7 during our stay it was not convenient to take advantage of the happy hour drinks and appetizers. So I'm not sure we got our monies worth.

“Pluses and minuses”

Hard Rock Hotel

3 of 5 stars
Central Florida

We recently stayed for one night. This was a splurge for us, so we were expecting a lot.
First of all, the pluses...
Beautiful lobby and grounds, delicious meal and wonderful waiter at The Kitchen, loved the rockstar wake-up call (although if you have young kids, be warned, the message can be R-rated), in room ipod player and music video channel on TV, quick walk to the park, (actually quicker than waiting for the boat), express pass that was included made our day at the park.
The minuses...
Carpet in room was ripped up and frayed in 2 places, towels were thin and rough, bed and sheets were not as luxurious as we expected from a 4 or 5 star hotel, pool was beautiful but a bit disappointing as it didn't get any deeper than 4 ft something and the slide was closed when we went to the pool at night, and we were awaken at 3am by a drunk, fighting couple in the hallway.

All in all, this was a good one time experience, but probably not something we would do again.

“Great Pool at the Hard Rock”

Hard Rock Hotel

4 of 5 stars

We spent 5 days at the Hard Rock Hotel last week and enjoyed our stay. The hotel was beautiful, very hip decor, I didnt notice anything to be worn as other writers said. The room was quite small, however, the beds were very comfortable. We were on the 7th floor, the concierge level. For an extra $100 you receive a continental breakfast (fresh fruit, cereal, toast, bagels, etc.) there in an appetizer spread and beer and wine put out between 5 and 7pm and later dessert is offered for an hour. Honestly I don't think this was worth the extra money, maybe b/c we only took advantageof the breakfast. Also, most of the staff at the concierge level were quite stand offish, almost too cool for their own good. The pool at the hotel was wonderful, my children (3 and 4yrs) had a great time. There is a beach that runs into the pool so they enjoyed the sand. Also the pool is shallow so they were able to stand in most of it. Another nice thing was that they had life vests available for the children to use, so no need to bring your own water wings or vests. We ate at The Kitchen one evening, it was good, the kids loved it b/c it was like a character dining experience without the extra cost. Woody Woodpecker came in and Scooby Doo and both spent quite a bit of time at our table. While we were in Orlando we also ate at Roy's, that was great and so kid friendly. Our last night we dined at the Capital Grille, thank God the kids were good b/c this restaurant was excellent but there were no other children there.

“live like a rockstar”

Hard Rock Hotel

hi we have stayed in the hardrock many times we stay at disney for 2 weeks then move to universal for a week. We love this hotel i have a 8year old son and a 13 year old son and we all think its awesome you actually feel like a rock and roll star. After staying in disney you find that the hard rock is very chilled and layed back were as disney is more magical. In july 07 we stayed in a club room it works out around an extra 350 english pounds but is well worth it, youre room is bigger youre breakfast is included unlimited soft drinks throughout the day, between 5-7 they serve snacks and beer /wine AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE and of a night they turn down your beds and you can help yourself to cookies and milk its well worth the extra money. We are returning again this july and have again booked the club room (be sure to prbook in advance as there is only limited room on club 7. hope you find this review helpfull.
